  8. Welcome, Brad! Glad to have you here! Chef will make an excellent TK callsign/nickname as well!
  9. Welcome, Paige! Good to have you here! I've compiled a couple of links that might come in handy (in order: supplies list, reference images, and a build thread): Please note that the build thread is for Anovos, so it won't be exact to your suit, but it gives a great idea of what to look for when assembling your armor! Others who know more than me will likely direct you to some other helpful threads and may give an estimate for how long it can take to complete a build (for me it was about 2 1/2 weeks, and I'm still working on details). It's different for everyone Even though you don't expect the armor to be 501st ready for a couple of months, I would reach out to your local garrison--they may be able to help you on your journey! Hopefully these things will help speed up the process and get you trooping in the not-so-distant future!
  10. It's definitely a project that never seems to end--in a good way. Getting that comfortable fit comes down to wearing it over and over and making adjustments when you find something that needs adjusting. Also, I absolutely had to wear my armor a few times before I had the walk figured out
  11. I would say you're good to post pics in here for now since you're still waiting on 501st approval/access!
  12. Happy to hear you were approved, trooper! Have fun on your first troop! Hope to meet you in the future!
  13. Woo! Helmet electronics almost done! Also, here's some tips on posting photos without needing to pay attention to file size--I found these helpful when I first arrived.
  14. Welcome Cody, good to have you here! I'm a quite a ways from Brisbane, but I'd be happy to lend any help that I can!
  15. Congrats and welcome aboard! Good to have you here, trooper!
  16. It's great to have you here, Brad! I'm sorry for your loss. Seeing the smiling faces as you're suited up is incredibly heartwarming and rewarding--I can't wait for you to experience it!
