Looks great, mate. Very shiny. Though... looks at bit wide on the thigh piece at the knee, but I reckon it can't be trimmed in to a closer fit and still have it be comfortable to wear.
Since i took these photo's i have added the ammo pack to the right thigh and have also fixed my thighs onto elastic suspenders which has brought them up a couple of inches and they fit alot better
Hopefully i shall finish glueing my TD after a spot of filling sanding and repainting today. The weather here has been so crap the last few weeks i havent bothered trying to spray my blasters which is really getting on my nerves as im back to work on monday and wanted this all finished before then
Im so close to finishing im getting quite exited

Ok what is the Elastic for in between the canvas is it to provide additional support?
Yes it is, without the elastic the belt would be very thin and not able to support the armour belt and holter or the TD. This way the belt is nice and strong but also light weight and will withstand plenty of trooping.

I aggree the instructions that came with my suit i dont think i ever read them fully, just threw them out of the window, lol.
Tony's site is a good one to follow as Mario has posted, also try this one for plenty of refrence from our very own Steve aka Ruf Terrain.
-------
I found it was alot easier than i first thought, i would suggest starting on something easy to put together like the arms then upper body then main body then legs and leave the lid til last.
Good luck

Be sure to keep an eye out for rebels and those pesky little care bears.....

The way Matt has shown works really well, the webbing usually takes very well to the abs when glued straight in like that.
As an alternative you can rivet the webbing straps to small squares of abs, say 1 1/2 inch or so and glue the square onto the abs, either way have worked well for me in the past.

How about this: How many troopers wore gaffer's tape on screen?

Hi ive been doing a little work with my tk the last couple of weeks trying to get this finished and suited up today for some pics.
Constructive critisism is welcome and any pointers greatly received, ignore the helmet as its not mine, i still have to put mine together, lol.....
I havent finished work with my thighs either, i need to put on the power pack but i think i will have to trim the plastic at the rear as it doesnt close very well yet...
Let me know what you think oh and i havent finished painting and putting together my blaster either!

Hi Mike welcome to the fisd
Have a look around the forums im sure you will be able to find what your looking for buddy.

There was no new armour made for esb, they re-used the stuff from anh at a very high cost.
It looks like 3 ear stripes in most pics, i will put together some screen grabs for people to look at if you like heres just a couple i have for now.

Commander Dargas said:yeah... the first mod I did on my armor was so that I could sit down... so that?s not a real issue with me.
do you thinks there should be a problem if a trooper where to be caught having a beer while in armor?
hmmmm!
Dargas.
I always use Empire Ale when i make a steak and ale pie, very nice but its not from Costa Rico....
But when in armour make sure your drinking...........

Thanks for the nice comments guys im glad your happy with your belts
About the colour, i think thats down to personal preference. I would imagine that the belts in the movie were coloured using canvas and leather whitener as you would use on your dunlop green flash....
However i tried this and its very messy, so i bleached mine instead.
The close ups of the hero's in the detension block shows nice and white, but after luke and han go through the trash compactor the dye runs out as seen on luke's belt in the promo pic.
