  1. @Yiyo I noticed you painted your gun with different colors for the nozzles, it looks all black to me in the reference pictures though. Where did you find about that silver part and satin black ? Also : what black did you use for the gun itself ?
  2. I thought too that it made little sense in the show to hold the zippo that way... but it's not like star wars is always perfect. I wasn't sure on how the rules would be on that part. I think I'll do the same as you and print the missing parts. I found great tubes on alieexpress, just the right size ^^ As for sanding : what grit did you stopped sanding ?
  3. I see you used the "rigid" pipes from marko's files, from the pictures of the show those pipes seem flexible though. You can see the pipes pending under the trooper's hand on this shot : Granted the shots are inconsistent because on the next shot he doesn't hold the zippo that far... But from what I could find in the reference shots those are flexible pipes, probably the same as the ones coming from the backpack. Also what was the process like, did you sand and paint each piece individually ? What grit ? I am a complete noob so I have tons of questions
  4. Ha we have the same pieces I see How do you plan on sticking together the backplates ?
  5. I am terrible at making costumes, so it will take a while For marko's work everything looks good to me, appart from the above mentionned air holes. The backpack is a great match IMO.
  6. I am almost through with the 3D printing, it's pretty accurate. I assume he used the hot toy figurine for the fine details because you can't quite make out everything in the live action scene (you see quite a lot, but the finer stuff can only be guessed really). The only issue is about the "air holes" (not sure how to call them) on piece F2, I am not convinced it's a match with the movie. The figurine seems to differ from what I see on screen, but again : it's a bit hard to make out such small details, even in 2K resolution.
  7. That's what I have been doing, that's a lot to read but there is plenty of stuff I learned already Yup that's why I documented times and cost so far, so that people would know what they are getting into. I plan on documenting the materials cost as much as I can because it's often quite expensive in the end, but rarely documented I don't really mind being first or second, as long as my armor looks good and feels good to wear I'll be a happy camper. It just so happens that Steve gave me the incinerator virus ^^
  8. Thanks for the tip, looking into it. Slightly intimidating though : very talented people at work down there
  9. You can't see the picture when clicking the link ? I simply linked the page and not the picture itself to not overload the thread ^^ For the CRL I was wondering how things were working, I have never done this before. My only costume is from 2004 and it's an armor FX I have checked other build threads and it seems they are all halted for now. As far as I can tell, it should be the same as a ROTK armor, plus we have the mandalorian scene as reference and the hot toys figurine that is pretty badass. Beyond that I am not aware of further references for that character.
  10. Another question : https://imgur.com/a/UUVaQcU I checked the episode again and I am a little confused about the pipes that link up to the front valves (below the mesh / nested part). They look like hardtubing in most scenes, and also on the hot toys figurine. But there is one clip where the trooper holds his gun (wrong, btw) by that part instead of using the grip, and the pipes don't seem to be in the same place. What do you guys think, is this supposed to be soft tubing or hardtubing ? Even then I wonder if they didn't use 2 different guns when shooting those scenes. Ideas / suggestions ?
  11. Another question : there is currently only a CRL for the videogame, how does that work for the mandalorian version of the incinerator in that case ?
  12. I will pop my cherry on 3D printing, it's a first for me. Slightly scary. But Steve is here to the rescue hopefully You gotta have to make an amazon list for me lol. Sanding, I hate sand
  13. So... since I have STL files, better get the hardware to print it out Just ordered an artillery sidewinder x1. Pretty excited to get into 3D printing, not that stevechewbacca pushed me heavily somewhat
  14. After a quick mail exchange with Jim, paid the rest of my order and it should ship soon enough. Exciting. Hopefully customs are more lenient this time around (one can dream).
  15. Boots received They feel fantastic, and they have a zipper this time around. Thanks to vincent from IB for fixing the problem very fast.
  16. Got my boots today, they look fantastic Also updated 1st message with euro prices (once paypal has scammed me with it's USD / EUR rates :D). EDIT : After checking with @stevechewbacca (and taking my morning coffee) it seems there has been a mistake in the order, I got good old TK boots, not R1 Ones. Messaged Vincent at once to see what can be done.
