  1. WIP neck seal I took some more of those bucket seals and cut them in half, then CA glue'd them together. the glue made white marks though, so I'm planning on painting it with black plastidip.
  2. helmet trim and visor done the visor is just two layers of tint, one green and one black/gray for the rubber trim, I took this rubber bucket trim, cut it in half, the sliced it down the middle, and wedged the edge of the helmet int the slit. now I gotta add padding, then the helmet will be done!
  3. so awhile ago our trampoline broke, and I saved this small scrap. I cut it and used it for the mouth piece. I like how it looks compared to the usual mesh. I also added the bicep to forearm elastic piece. now I just need to add a visor and rubber trim to the helmet, a neck seal, boots, finish the holster, and a compression top and I'll be done with this whole thing!
  4. finished details on the helmet! first i started with black then the gray parts then I touched-up with some white paint. this part took awhile cause I messed up alot. then the black stripes tube stripes, ear bar, and mic-tips, and I'm done! now I just have to add glossifier to it. I finished the glossifier on these parts aswell.
  5. thanks! all those hours of staring at reference pics and build threads is paying off. I added the ab dots then i repainted the ab, forearms, shoulders, backplate, and helmet, and painted the chestplate and shoulder straps. I just have to add glossifier to them. after that I painted the ab dots with some citadel model paint (Macragge Blue) and (Dawnstone)
  6. a few days ago my rubber blaster from imperial warfighters came in. I also finished the belt, ammo belt, and WIP holster entire lower body test fit with imperial warfighters blaster in holster the imperial warfighters blaster is too heavy for the holster and keeps pulling it down, so if I need to have the blaster holsterd for a longer peirod of time i'll have to use the rubies blaster. I also added the pyramids to the knee and the thigh ammo belt to the thigh
  7. alright that after alot of peeling and scraping I got off the plastidip and primer on the front face only, so now i just need to repaint then the decals and NO MASKING TAPE!!!! I left the primer on the vocoder, mic tips, and teeth cause I donā€™t think I need to scrape it off there.
  8. update: I tried to mask off the vocoder area, but the masking tape peeled off the plastidip. i'm so angry right now. I feel like screaming. my dad suggested cutting off a the plastidip of the entire lower face till the crease so it will be less noticeable, then repaint. if that doesnt work i'll have to peel it all of the whole helmet and paint it all again. arrrgh
  9. thanks! and yup, im painting it with plastidip just like the armor, so it should match perfectly. ok finished plastidip on the helmet im quite happy with it. now i just gotta paint the details and add the gloss top coat.
  10. finished filler primer the seam is still barely visible, but im not too worried about it. I'll probably just sand it a little more. after that, I'll use plastidip then paint the details.
  11. sanded the seam again. i'm gonna add some filler primer so I can see how it looks so far. also sanded the logos and stuff on the back before after
  12. filled the seam some more finished painting dropboxes and the pyramids also finished the thigh ammo belt a short summary of how I made it: my dad cut some wood blocks for me, and i primed then plastidiped them, then glued them to a piece of foam. pretty simple, and i'm happy with how it turned out.
  13. thanks mate. I do hope to do a real kit someday, and join the 501st as a true stormtrooper... sanded the helmet seam, and it looks better and sits more flush. still need to do more filling though, My dad also found these little pyramids for me that will be perfect for the sniper knee plate. they're a litte big, but that's okay. my dad also got me the Black Series Archive Death Trooper re-release! thanks dad.
  14. filled the seam on the helmet with bondo two-part spot putty. Gotta sand it now.
  15. Im sanding the eyes as I type. I'm doing regular lenses. I'm planning on spraying the whole thing in plastidip so it matches the armor, and painting on the details. thanks! I cut out the two front teeth that where filled in for whatever reason. I first used my exacto knife. I spun it so make holes so it would be easier to cut. then i just cut them out, and did some more cleaning up.
  16. ok sorry for lack of updates, been kinda procrastinating. I took the lenses out, then trimmed and sanded the leftover stuff under it. I need some opinions. i think the eye ridges around the lenses a could be more pronounced, so i was thinking of making the edge more pronounced with some epoxy clay. what do your guys think? should I do it?
  17. I decided to get a rubies helmet instead of making the paper one cause that would be too much work. the blue frown gives me the icks those stickers scare me... those foam pads made it pop up so I couldn't wear it well. I took them out. they were fixed in with hot glue... but for whatever reason, the seller decided to ship it in this: yep, no box, no bubble wrap, nothing. just thin tissue-like wrapping paper. nothing else. it was half-torn open when it arrived. the helmet itself was okay, thanks to the clamshell. I also foud it funny that there was not one, but TWO "fragile stickers pros of helmet: shiny, resembles stormtrooper, fits okay after removal of foam pads. sticker on the front of the helmet are mostly okay. cons: big seam down the middle, blurry not dark enough eyes, earbuttons looks like marshmellow, back trapezoids are horrific, terrifying blue frown, vocoder is a blob, mic tips have weird silver drybrush, so yeah its mostly garbage. i'm gonna have to do some modding. I'm going to at least fix eyes, frown and back trapezoid stickers.
  18. I finished remaking the chest plate! (this is the third time ive made it hopefully I can do the seams better this time!
  19. thanks! I used velcro hand-sewn by me to elastic straps. pretty sturdy, although the cod to butt plat strap came off once. other than that, it works.
  20. found on ebay... the listing price was 250 dollars.
