  1. Since I made a canvas belt, I had a ton of those ABS stips left over (i actually still have 1 completely untouched), but i just cut one of those in half, put some hook velcro on it, then loop on the very inside edges of the stomach and back plates. haha, its hard to get them both lined up after you ahve it on, but once you figit with it, its not bad
  2. Haha, well your opinion counts. guess I'm in then
  3. Here's my just-completed armor, hopefully the first deployment acceptable FX (ANH Hero configuration):
  4. yeah, the pics are too far away to really discern what theyre made out of. but on a seperate note, does anyone else think it looks like the TKs are wearing kamas like clone commanders or snowtroopers? i just noticed that now
  5. Just my 2 cents, not being a 501st member yet, but I think that if an FX bucket conforms to the standards, like the gray cutout frown and blue tube stripes, it should still be acceptable for deployment.
  6. Zep, you're right, yours isnt as good. guess youll just have to send it to me or something hahaha, but seriously, i think yours looks awesome, if you were to produce some I'd definitly be interested
  7. does anyone who's used a canvas belt have pictures of how they attached the thermal detonator? I'm building and FX kit right now, and I'm going to be using canvas when i get to my belt, so I was just wondering how to go about doing that
  8. 4205, is the 3 inch elastic belt just 1 layer of elastic? did you double it up or anything? because in the first picture it looks thicker. but I may have to try this when i get to my thighs, because I was kind of worried about having the suspenders hold up my waist, cod, and thighs
  9. So far I've been using the ABS glue that came with my FX kit, and it's working perfectly for me. I'm not in a super rush to get mine done, so I'll just glue something, clamp it, and let it sit and dry while to go to school or sleep or whatever. I usually let everything dry for about 10 hours at a time. As for the warping, I'm not going to argue with anyone, but I have yet to encounter this. I used a pretty generous amount on my hand plates to keep the elastic bands secured, and I haven't had any problems yet. Right now I've only glued my arms (hands, forearms, biceps) so I'm definitly not an expert by any means, but this has been my experiance so far.
