  1. 84 today in Phoenix, Arizona. The weather has been fantastic here for the last few weeks.
  2. Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, MMMMMMMMMMMM. . . . Sorry off topic. I've been following this thread from the beginning and I'd love to see one of those berets as well.
  3. I'm not a big Fett fan, but that is truly some impressive work you have done there!
  4. Todd, where are you in Phoenix? From the pic you posted you could easily be in my own neighborhood.
  5. I guess I should not make blanket statements, my wife just corrected me (again), it did snow lightly for about ten minutes in Phoenix last december. There was an unusual high pressure cold front that passed thru town for a few hours at most, when it came thru we were outside in short sleeve shirts discussing how it could possibly be snowing in such warm weather. So I guess if we're talking about Phoenix "EVER" getting snow, I suppose it does get some un-measurable amount once every 10 to 60 years. As far as your sister in-law goes, I cannot comment about her mental state or general accuracy, but on this occasion she is technically correct. And yup, it's pretty wacky. Please, to any of you with too much web time on your hands or with meteorologist friends, please don't beat up on me with facts going back to Adam and Eve, I'm just just stating observational opinions. Thanks.
  6. That's 4 for 4, I received mine as well. Thanks again!
  7. D-MAC is a member on this forum, he has access to knee pads that are mostly only available in the UK and ships to anyone in need. Usually only one set is needed, and you will most likely have a small amount left over. You can follow this link to his latest thread: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=5653 Good luck with your project.
  8. Thanks Nathan, that would be fantastic! STAR WARS EPISODE IV : A NEW HOPE STORMTROOPER STUNT HELMET
  9. It's under development by a government contractor (Protective Products International) for law enforcement SWAT teams and Special Forces entry teams, it's made up of moulded plates over kevlar padding similar to Hockey pads except these are bullet proof (more or less, armor piercing rounds not withstanding). The concept illustrates articulating plate armor which extends onto the should/biceps and forearms. High speed low drag non ceramic construction… it is not in production but it is not that far out. The chest and back have icreased coverage compared to the industry standard ’shooters cut’ ceramic plate. The military/LE can't wait to get their hands on this, but I think the boots on the ground won't help but think what a bad day they'll have if the technology falls into the wrong hands.
  10. I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet, it is a new type of LE/Military prototype armor. It grabbed my attention because of similarities it shares to our own plastic cocoons, this shouldn't be too surprising as scientist have been fact out of fiction for years. Look out Dark Troopers, I think your about to get re-fitted.
  11. Normally I would be the last one to even consider watching pirated material, I strongly believe in the concept of intellectual property, but in this case I think I would make an exception. Talk about poetic justice, the guy gets hired to re-create a character from artwork that is provided to him, gets paid for his work, then claims it's design and spills it over the net for all to see! And now he may have the very work he borrowed and profited from, borrowed from him.(free of course, it would be funnier if someone made money from it, but not right) It's only my opinion, but I feel he falls pretty low on the ethics scale and he deserves no better. <_< Sorry if I seem harsh.
  12. Now thats cool, (er and just a little chilly if you ask me) everyone looks like they had a great time. Great pics, thanks for sharing!
  13. Welcome Steve, You won't find a better resource anywhere on the web, it's also unlikely you'll find a more supportive group of people either. Happy New Year!
