  1. Thanks. Super nervous, but I know slow & steady wins the race. Plus I'm gonna have mentor help by my SoCal Garrison (IE Squad) mates, so really looking forward to the BBB Day and getting this thing started!
  2. Yes I did, actually. Cool.
  3. Thanks. Hmmm, is there a way I can "follow" my OP? I forgot to see if there was a way to do that before I posted, and want to be aware of any replies pretty quickly.
  4. Starting my build thread here, and I'm stealing the post formatting from BigCara (hope you don't mind, man!) simply because it's so concise. Armor: ATA Works (Got the bucket. The rest is about to go into production, yet to be shipped) Balaclava: (Have one already) Brackets: Trooperbay TK/TD Full Bracket Set: (Ordered) Gloves & Soft Hand Guard (White) Combo: Trooperbay (Ordered) Holster: (ANH) Trooperbay (Ordered) Neck Seal: Trooperbay (Ordered) TK/TD White Canvas Belt: Trooperbay: (Ordered) E-11 Blaster: Hyperfirm (Ordered) Boots: Imperial Boots (Ordered on 9/7 wave) Fans: Still researching Undersuit: Still researching. Undecided on whether to go zip-front one-piece, or two separate compression pieces. Comms: Still researching If anyone sees any issues with what I've decided to order, or if I'm missing something, it's not to late to let me know what's what, and to go a different/better route! Thanks!
  5. I shave my head, so that's non-issue for me, but sweat prevention will be a must.
  6. Wondering what the preference or recommendation is for under the bucket. Both in regards to functionality, as well as comfort/ventilation? I'm guessing most run with a balaclava, since it would seem to reduce the amount of moisture gathering inside, as well as contain any head/facial sweat. Is that correct? Anyone doing skull cap only and have pros/cons?
  7. Outside feels pretty smooth, but there is the slightest of dimples on the inside. Thanks!
  8. First timer here, and man is this place a veritable gold mine of information! I've spent hours thread browsing and bookmarking already. You guys are top notch! That said, got my first BBB today from ATA Works, and I'm super jazzed! I'm going to create a Build Thread elsewhere, but I got my kit out and did some close scrutinizing, and found something interesting. In the frown, I have 3 cutout dimples on the helmet's right side, and 4 dimples in the left side. Did some searching, and found this thread on TK frown reference pics. Looks like the Stunts have 4 each side (a couple images show 3, however), and Heroes have 3. My question now becomes, since you can't really un-dimple a cutout area (can you?), am I left with the 4 cutout option only, with the same amount on each side, having to measure the proportionate distance on the left, and make my own 4th cutout on the right?? Here's my kit, and a closeup of the left and right sides. Thanks!
  9. As someone new and about to start their first build, I feel it incumbent upon me to paraphrase our glorious Emperor: "I will be watching this thread with great interest."
  10. Likewise. I can't find any online store for Hyperfirm, so no idea on the cost. I shot them an e-mail, however.
  11. Sorry to necropost on this topic, but I'm getting my TK setup pretty soon (bucket already shipped) and the EastBay link for the pants is no longer valid. Just takes you to the main site. I searched for other "EVAPOR compression pants" and found some, but they have grey seam stitching on the crotch and inner thigh, which I assume is a no-go, correct?
