  1. If you haven't already heard, the prop manufacturer Anovos is finally being held accountable for their lack of item delivery and severe lack of refunds for unsatisfied clientele. While some have taken Anovos by class action lawsuit for fraud, I have created a petition specifically for people (such as myself) who have been negatively effected by Anovos. I created it for people that Anovos owe more than just costumes, and money; but time. Time we will never get back. Anovos may not be legally bound by this petition, but they do have eyes and ears. My petition is going straight to the top, and the traction has begun. If you have been negatively effected by the fraudulent activities of Anovos then drop your initials in the link below. One voice, one mind, one goal. http://chng.it/N2M2JSNgVf

  3. How exciting! I built my first TK Stunt back in 2017, and then I rebuilt my brothers botched TK for him over the new year. Feel free to ask lots of questions so that you can hopefully avoid some of the mistakes we made! Or at least the ones that I made haha!
  4. I know it is different than the traditional holster, I was under the impression that the blaster would slide into that raised piece on the leg.
  5. That is awesome! It sounds like Heston’s blasters are probably the way to go for now, they offer a pretty legitimate price. I did message message the owner regarding the holster slide though. He told me that the blasters are NOT compatible with the FO Stormtrooper leg holster. Are there any links on here or elsewhere that discuss how you can modify the leg holster slide to accommodate a blaster?
  6. Ohh so the blasters come printed in their colours? They don’t require any painting do they?
  7. That’s awesome! A couple of screws is no problem. Do the blasters come painted??
  8. I was considering the Heston blaster combo myself, can anybody speak to the quality of this purchase? Do the blasters hook on to the FO Stormtrooper holster?
  9. Anovos makes a decent neckseal, the zipper is very small and is not ideal but it gets the job done. It is also Centurion level approvable. I have heard amazing reviews about missmargaretsgasketemporium Nothing but amazing reviews. That is where I am ordering my new Gaskets and neckseal. Search it all one word on Facebook or Instagram for photos.
  10. I personally am not going to wait for Anovos, I am going to take the side of better reviews and accurate shipping times and get all of my soft goods from sources other than Anovos.
  11. A newer design would be helpful for sure. As I said I have my own TFO Stormtrooper Armour set (the latest design) in the mail from Anovos. The problem being that they do not yet sell the soft goods (gloves, undersuit, Gaskets, etc). I am going to order my own Gaskets from Sister Margaret’s. I have heard nothing but good things from the reviews of sistermargaretsgasketemporium
  12. Yes, the ribbed pieces of the undersuit that show between your leg and arm pieces
  13. Has anybody here used the Anovos Joint Gaskets? Or does anybody know of a different thread that discussed their quality in detail?
  14. I actually have done some reviewing for the Anovos Joint Gaskets, and apparently they are just bad. Haha! Not awful, but I heard the shine wears off very quickly, and the material is not stretchy. I heard that the seams begin to crack if you try to tightly fit the Anovos Gaskets to yourself.
  15. I just re-built my little brother’s botched TK a couple of weeks ago as well, and at the moment I am waiting for my own First Order Stormtrooper armour in the mail. Are there any important tips that come to mind that you would share with an aspiring costume maker? Anything specific that comes to mind?
  16. Un. Be. Lievable. Very impressive work, I am a novice builder who just finished his first ANH TK build. I aspire to have armour building skills like this! The armour looks absolutely fantastic.
  17. I am currently in full swing building mode for my First Order Armour, I await it’s arrival in the mail but in the mean time I too have been researching undersuits and neck seals. My approach thus far has been seeking out the cheaper options (obviously) and here is what I know: I have an early model Anovos neck seal which I have owned for four years now, it works great if you can grab one in your size for 59.99. It retains its shiny nature, and it has the 11 ribs needed for a Centurion build. Anovos has great customer service reps and if you fire them a message they will promptly reply and answer any questions regarding Stock and the Shipping Calendar. I use my shiny long underwear for my TK build and my Trooping. When my TFO Joint Gaskets arrive I will attach them directly to the long underwear. You can find Long Underwear or Tight Fitting Sports esc. pants and long sleeved shirt that is made of a shiny, stretchy, comfortable material; durable enough for sowing and modifying. They are not hard to find, my personal set came from a local outdoorsman store outlet. They range anywhere from 20.00-80.00 depending on where you buy from, I advise caution here because there are many many many varieties and many sellers. I recently have spoken with the lovely folks down at sistermargaretsgasketemporium (all one word) You can look them up on Facebook or Instagram, their Facebook page is preferable because it has a ton of pictures and has all of the pricing listed. Shoot them a message on either social media page and they will supply loads of information on their products. They sell customizable neck seals and customizable undersuits created specifically for whichever Trooper you happen to be making. I am ordering my Joint Gaskets from them as well, these guys have fantastic reviews, I would highly recommend giving them a search if you haven’t already. Hope this helps!
