Are there any upcoming armor parties/gatherings in the GTA or surrounding areas?? (I'm north of the City but can travel around)

I have a complete AP kit that just needs some minor tightening/tweaking/fitting that I need done. I'm not 100% sure how to do so was hoping for assistance.

    Let me know. Thanks All.

Hi Ben. I sent you a PM.

Thanks! I took off a little, but I will lose it all once this dries. Thanks for being so helpful! #BroHug

Troopers helping Troopers!:duim:  You may be able to have a slightly smaller cover strip when you lose all the return edge. Remember, return edges are not required for any level of certification. Make it fit well and make it as comfortable to wear as possible, especially the top of the thighs. Don't want any pinching there.

  3. While waiting for my lock nuts to arrive (Amazon) I decided to go ahead and make the reenforcing strips for my armour. When the glue dries I will countersink the holes so the screws sit a little flatter on the outside.

I taped each of the brackets close to the spot where they go. Because I made the brackets myself there are variances between them and I didn't want them to get mixed up.

I love these magnets. I used E6000. I could have used CA glue but I've grown to like E6000 and how flexible and forgiving it is. Totally worth the dry time wait.

  4. Hi Greg.

To quote you "The right ab to kidney elastic isn't doing much. I think I lost weight. The pieces are getting pushed overtop of each other." Well, it happened to me too. Except not the losing weight part . As soon as I put the belt on I had this issue. Except it's not an issue at all, I think. If I wasn't so tech inept I'd post a screen cap. I have seen this many times on the forum. Screen caps of this exact thing. Overlap on the bottom. When we taped our armour to ourselves the tape wasn't strong enough to pull the armour tight like the belt or we were just to scared to make it that tight being new to all this. I watched Star Wars on Jan 1 and I saw this often. Maybe The Swede can chime in here but I think it's ok.

Isn’t that why we have those snazzy holsters?
Thanks for the first-hand review, it eases my mind a little... mine delivers Monday.

Awesome! I'm glad you ordered one. I don't find it very heavy at all. But I guess compared to a plastic blaster it is.

Has anyone worked with these folks before? Their E-11 looks pretty incredible (or credible, as the case may be) and the reviews are 5-star all the way...

Edit: oh, hello search function... some described it as a “Centurion level blaster.”

Hey. Just stumbled upon this today. I have this blaster and it is beautiful. No seam lines. Comes flat black. Weathering needed. If you want the spring you will need to make one. The back of the blaster comes open so you can install it. The blaster is resin. For a really long troop it might get tiring after a while but way less so than a HWT rifle. Totally worth the $ IMHO.

  7. Hello Andrew and welcome! Great advise so far from everyone. Doing it right the first time will save you frustration and money for sure. In my opinion, save up and buy a full kit. You will be way happier in the long run. There is so much to read and learn here. The more research you do the more you'll know what's right for you. Don't rush in. It will be well worth the effort and time to do the research.

  8. Hello Nick and Welcome! I can see several things you might need to complete your kit. Start a build thread, post detailed pics of what you have and ask questions. You will get all the answers you need to get this done. There are plenty of build threads for RS kits to look at as well as many other makes. You are well on your way with most of the heavy lifting already done for you. Fine tuning and finessing time!
