Traveling home today! Then hopefully it begins. Still have a day or two till my armor arrives so going to get as much done crafting on my ax as I can. Kind of setting a personal goal of being one of the first 10 people to be approved as an Executioner. I think I can do it once I have my armor in hand. Be prepared for so much progress coming soon! Can't wait.

I've been thinking about getting my armor automotive painted, so I get where you are coming from. So with the matte you just left it bare? No clear coating there? Would you consider applying a matte clear over it before you unmask it? Just thinking that lots of my friends and garrison members will be handling it so the sturdier the better haha

That's a handsome mug shot you got there! On your black, did you seal it all with a gloss clear coat? Or how did you end up sealing the different finishes of paint?

Ah! Congrats dude! This is amazing! Did they decide on using just TK still, or are they adding a TKE or TKJ? or something?

Wonder what new juicy details we will get on Monday with the new trailer! All my armor is showing up soon, so unless I hear otherwise this is the CRL I'm using haha. Maybe we will get more awesome troopers besides the executioner!

Where do you have problems at?

You have no idea haha. It's torture I say! It relatively easy? I can handle being looked at like a contortionist hahahah just trying to figure out how to make sure I don't need assistance everytime when I built my Fett kit I hated having to have another person suit me up. Trying to avoid that. Oh there will be lots of BBB and package photos. It's Christmas in October! Jim just said my armor is on the way!

So currently at my house (which I am NOT at :'( ) I have 4 packages with goodies waiting! Just need to get back there and I can get some photos haha. I have got most of the F-11 parts glued where they needed to be and am doing one final fill and sand before priming. However after seeing a notification from the LPRO posted through my local garrison I am going to delay posting pictures of anything blaster related due to the recent events in Vegas. I'm still on the road but I might try to get the primer on it if I can find a place. If not I'll have to figure out a paint tent for an apartment Looking ahead at what I need to get, I have kind of a shopping list; -E6000, several tubes -Tandy snaps -Rare earth magnets -Webbing -Metal for yoke reinforcement -Velcro I'm wanting to be able to kit up myself when I am done, so I was thinking about going the route of using the rare earth magnets for the back and rump plate. With that would I be able to basically kit myself up? Or what else should I magnet vs snap? Also any glaring things I missed? I have some fiberglass cloth and resin sitting around for repairs/reinforcement for Jim's armor.

No news on my package from the Post Office...hopefully they read my notes and LEAVE IT WITH THE FRONT OFFICE LIKE I ASK /endrant BUT! I talked to Jimmi and my armor is on its way basically! In the next two weeks I should have physical armor! So excited!!! I also got all the parts of my F-11 sanded. So now it's prepp'ing them for painting. Which...painting might be hard. Anyone got good ideas for painting in a hotel?!

Got overly hyped on the first one. Waiting to see what the reception on this one is. But I agree the only reason I care is to see costume details. Who plays games when there is stuff to be built!

Tried sanding again, got rained out after 1 piece. Still trying to sand slowly...almost sanded in the hotel room but decided not to do that JAFOs belt got safe and sound to my house! Can't wait to get back and play with it. My gaskets should be coming next week. Heard from Jim my armor might be shipping soon. Excited there. ImperialBoots shipment showed up but USPS are being asshats and not playing nice. Left a redeliver notice. But the time I scheduled it for they didn't show up. If it happens once more I have to get it. And if I don't in a certain time they threaten to send it back. Ugghhh. I hate being out of town for 2 to 3 weeks when stuff is coming in....

Kind of hard to sand at a hotel. But I was able to sand some in the parking lot before it started to rain ITS SO SILKY SMOOTH. One coat of Spot Putty and dry sand 400 grit. Boom. Smoothy smoothness. Also got word my armor is shipping soon. Woot! Everything else is slowly being shipped. I can't wait....Work is keeping me here for probably two more weeks though. Having BBB's??!? and not be able to play with them?!?! AH! torture......

How you planning on painting the matte black vs gloss white with sealing? I know clear coating a pure white is easy, but how do you plan on it with the two different finishes?

It's piiinnnkkkk! Not much I can do while in the road for work....im watching all these amazing brown boxes and bags heading to my house! :'( so I'll work on my F-11D. Next up sanding.

Heh good to hear that things are in motion. I don't doubt these things take time! I'm also sure there is plenty of hurdles ahead. Thank you for the update! And I agree completely.

I'm in the same position. Just waiting for everything to arrive at this point in time. Funny enough I'm in Colorado for work while all my stuff is heading home to Utah hah. Wouldn't hurt to do a little bit at a time I'm working on my weapons till armor arrives. Black on the helmet helps with darkening the lenses. Makes it so your eyes won't show. A light interior helmet has a higher tendency to reflect light and show your eyes. Plus it just makes the helmet look complete. Those are the two main reasons I know.

This is why I want to join the FISD. You all are such an amazing and uplifting community. Not going to lie I started getting scared seeing all the differences popping up. But I think with my experience with fiberglass and Jims armor in hand I should be able to get all these changes incorporated. You all are inspirations!

This is all exciting for me as I'm getting ready to start my build. Having the approved CRL ahead of me plus two fantastic builds will be both inspirational and informative. Hoping to be the first Executioner in my local garrison! And my first approved kit to boot thank you all for all the research and hard work everyone puts in here. The community as a whole is why the TKs continue to be the pinnacle of shiny armor perfection

They say in the book that Phasma receives a captain's cape faster than Cardinal. I assume that means the cape would be identical to Phasmas as it sounds like it's a status symbol. Much like a pauldron for a TK

I'm excited to get my TLJ bucket and kit from Jimmi. So this is all great resource for when the armor gets here and I start building.

For the general TLJ TK, I noticed you had in green (green Im assuming is changes?) on the bicep about the greeblie across the seam. Isn't that standard already for FOTK? Or did the standard TLJ take it away and the Executioner have it? I apologize i dont have the references in front of me. It might be beneficial to denote what is a generic TLJTK changes (helmet etc.) Vs Executioner (paint etc.)

Just finished the preliminary sanding of most of the parts. Still waiting for the last batch to be done. Then spot putty. I cant believe how easily these cleaned up!

I understand I just get excited over TLJ CRL's. Going to be my first approved 501st kit when they hit So back on topic then: If the Executioner armor is just a recolored TLJ TK (which is looking like is more and more the case) I would say the left side of the TD being longer, The helmet and possibly the cod piece are the three main ones I can see and I know have been in discussion. Soft parts look the same as well as gloves and boots. But I definitely don't have the trained eye of most on here!
