  4. Thanks Shane and Chris, The sniper knee does clash with the thigh as I walk as well. I was going to install stirrups to keep the shins down on the book. The foam suggestion is a great add. Seems easy to install, so perhaps I'll start there first. Thanks for the support! Scott
  5. Thank you for the advice. I'll try to get a better pic on the power cylinders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Hi Skylar...lots of good advice in this thread. I appreciate the question as it helps me decide what to do on my RS. I struggled touching the sewn on buttons as they are like screen used. However, I chose to swap them out with Tandy snaps. I feel the Tandy snaps are more Robust and will stand the test of time versus the sewn on snaps. Final thought is whether to keep the elastic over replacing with webbing. This is more a personal preference, however, I found the webbing is more robust and keeps the armor well in place, reducing the gaps. Thanks again for making this thread! 10. I'm not an expert, but it appears you can fill in the teeth more with the grey paint. Upper sections still have white unpainted areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Final clear coat, one day to dry and electrical tape on the seam lines. Last, I used the lens and mask grill from my TK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. First coat of clear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Repainted the lines with left over black from my ATA helmet build Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I used Krylon plastic paints throughout. The final coat is a gloss, but you'd be hard pressed to guess it wasn't satin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. After sanding, priming and applying a final coat before clear coat... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Did you repaint the entire helmet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. From the pictures you can see the paint job out of the box was terrible. It's much better, but want to hit it with a high gloss clear coat. I'm worried it would make it permanently sticky Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Yep, that's the one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Greetings Troopers! I have researched several posts on converting a 48" TFA Stormtrooper Battle Buddy to a wearable costume for my kids. I am awaiting the buddy from Amazon. In the meantime, I ordered the 2 piece Rubies TFA helmet (the Buddy helmet is too small) and am working to modify it. The quality of the helmet out of the box from Rubies is poor. See below this post. As a result, I am repainting and modifying the lens and frown per other posts. Now for the question...I have sanded down the helmet and put a white primer coat on the helmet. After waiting a day, I put some Krylon White Gloss on the helmet. The results are good, however, I want more of a shine. Can anyone make some recommendations here? Can I put a gloss clear coat on top of a white gloss coat?
  21. Very nice turnout on the tubes...I'll be stealing this on the next build. Well done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. How did you fare on the vent lines? I suffered with a template. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
