Tears and vents. Also glued in more snaps, the arm snaps are all installed.

I understand. I have a small head so it should be ok as is. Once i clamp it together i can try to slide it on and see if any needs to come off. Thank you for the advice

More work on the bucket. Cut, dremel, file, sand. I also think i may have to take a little more off of the bottom here.

Turns out it was the flu. Time to get back on track. A few weeks ago i taped off the bucket and painted everything vthat will painted white. Started the gloss black and i threw a coat of flat on the hovi tips as a base coat. Fine sanding, the belt assembly, start gluing snaps in place, rework my td clips are my projects for today. Hopefully i am done by next monday.

Belt sewn and fitted. Forearms glued. Now to size everything and assemble all of the pieces. I will paint the ab buttons amd glue them on when i paint my bucket.

First up. The ab and kidney. I still need to cut the notches Cut little bits, then filled with abs past and pushed little bits in. Then i finished trimming biceps, and glied inner supports onto the forearms. I will finish the forearms and start working on the snap plates and belt so i can assemble it all by this weekend

Right thigh. Finished. Now off to work on fitting and trimming the body pieces.

I put in a lot of time last night and today. I had everything taped off, so i trimmed it. Still working on shoulder straps, have not touched the bucket. Fitting forearms and biceps tonight. Attaching knee belt as well in the right thigh.

I taped off the pieces using the mold lines and left a return edge of 1/8 to 1/4 depending on the part. I still need to sand it to get rid of the rough edges, butactest fit waa in order to see what extra trimming i need to do.

Kidney, butt, ab trimmed. Drop boxes. I may have to shim or just wear the ab and kidney snug.

All of today's progress so far. Restacked and taped my magnets. Half double and half single. Rivets painted white, belt and button covers trimmed. Not pictured right thigh ammo packs. Trimmed and with holes for mounting.

Knee pack. Ugh. The boxes were not even. I went to the tape to get straight parallel lines. 50mm consistently. Used a paint can to get the curve and i will trim tomorrow.

I think this is the correct thigh piece. It is glued already. Just waiting to place the cover strip

I dug through the toolbox and basement and got lucky. 4 screws with a head size of 6mm (just passed 6mm) took the old ones out and redrilled the holes in my td clips. Popped these in and a quick coat of black paint. Now its done. A quick before and after. For the new TD clips i didnt document the process. Same way i made the previous post. I did tape them together then drilled the holes through both at once.

New td clips. The old ones were too thin snd flimsy. TD almost done. Swapping out those tiny screws tomorrow. Left thigh glue and clamp. Tomorrow. Right thigh glue and i will trim the thigh detail

Let this dry, then I will add velcro. Its good to know they are fully assembled. Finish TD and thighs tonight and tomorrow.

Attach the clips later and this will be good to go. The left side cap slides on and off with a little effort. The right side is extremely snug. Not glued on, but with the way they are. I doubt it will be needed

I glued the back cover strips on the calf area, and started the inner support strips for the thighs. I have the knee plate on my shin with magnets at the moment. It sits a little crooked so i am looking for ways to resolve that. Inner Front. It is dropped a little to the left. Having trouble searching to see if anyone else has had that issue, and the best way to fix it. Outer I also started gluing my TD together. Used a magnet to hold it in place, then wrapped witj wax paper amd rubberbands. Zipties would have been better, but i cpuldnt find mine.

And gluing the cover strips. While that sets i am resesrching more on the thighs and making sure they are good to go for getting glued and clamped soon.

Since the bottoms didnt line up. I needed to shape them. Tape off, cut, flip over (sticky side out) and use magnets to hold in place. Trace. Cut and sanded.

And i goofed. I had the shins wrong all along. Easy fix. E6000 wasnt fully cured so 10 minutes of clean up and back to it. The shins i had marked L1 and L2 are the insides. Not one piece. So i pulled them apart and reglued. Currently those pieces are the shorter pieces and are the insides of the shin/calf. So L2 is the inside to R1. Now. They are proper and after the little ones checkup, i will glue cover strips. I had a minimal gap on the bottom so forced it into place and wrapped with tape. I am relieved that is done for the most part. Hopefully this helps someone else. I am confident the rest of the build will go better.
