  1. shoulder bells, dropped rs a note for dimensions and stayed old school with them, fits quite good. 12 and 5
  2. as things are moving in the right direction (well feeling more confident now a days) have gone back tho the arms think i will have major E6000 sessions during xmas break. Any way turns out my average bicep is the same diameter as the wife's Hendricks bottle so used this for initial sizing . things didnt finish up to bad still using duct tape to hold it all together like the thighs clean up, smooth out and cover strips required
  3. Ok finally got some help and thighs are now sized up, clean up cover strips required going to leave the shins will size once i have my boots (on my xmas list )
  4. Alright Frank, had the same issue/dilemma myself, got this picture from the boys at RS seems they add a sweep to the left hand side on there in house builds , I'm going to put the right side together and template off of that. do not think this has any sign off issues with going for the higher levels i think, need someone wiser than me to confirm that though ???
  5. Duct tape is my new best friend, feels like I'm getting somewhere. Used duct tape on the front inside edge, gave me basically a live hinge which i hope will help a lot when i come to do the sizing up
  6. Ok like i said time for the shins same cut lines as the thighs 10mm and flushed straight through at the base
  7. last bit from the weekend had a good go at the TD, need to clean my edges up and double check all the required dimensions before gluing
  8. bit of front edge score and snap going on thighs done shins next
  9. hi ya , afraid i have a avonos bucket but that dent looks consistent with all the other threads i've been looking at and the rs reference shots in the gallery
  10. Nice we will have to stay in touch and swap build notes just started to rough out mine, slow and steady like
  11. i was told the same thing a few weeks backs got offered a switch to PVC if didn't want to wait, but held on and fortunately my armor kit bundle turned up last week so assume the abs is now in but i am UK based
  12. ok worked through on the wrist ends of the forearm parts, returns where done are around 6 MM for starters will take another look once assembled just nervous about the right inner forearm does any one have any tips for first layout this is RS armor so no cut lines
  13. right so it begins working on the forearms first bit of head scratch with labeling but all round the right way now clearing wrist returns then working on the sides for sizing
  14. Then i realized i had miss a couple of bits oh and my blaster so here's a pic of the last bits so now the real work begins
  15. Right now it gets difficult its BBB day obliviously it time for the standard box picture I then spent the next hour laying it all out
  16. right helmet electronics done , just added a bit of foam backing to ukwraths brackets
  17. Minor updates this time i have re painted the frown adding those two little teeth either side and and positioned all the Velcro for my Mic attachment. what also turned up yesterday was my neck seal really happy with the one i chose in the end bucket wise everything's coming together just need to source some better hovi mic tips and s-trim, but i think i have found a source for the s trim now.
  18. Ok so after a evening of very nervous shaping I now have the ears back in place , a lot happier with the fit and gaps
  19. OK so now i have the correct screws thanks to themaninthesuitcase and have now painted the tops While i am waiting for that to dry i thought i would have a go re doing the helmet padding using some AIrsoft Mich pads and a load of velcro and i also made some packers for the pads going in around the brow first placement done Now all in place giving a snug fit and little or no helmet wobble or rotation when i have it on result
  20. Cheers for the positive feedback, the lenses look better from the front now I think Have now started to re-assemble used the old screws for alignment only and then pop riveted in place using a 3.5 mm flat washer on the other side also as to not stress the plastic to much also used a additional rivet on the left side to close up the gap to the brow trim that was bothering me
  21. now cleaned up frown teeth gaps and masked for painting with plasti dip, then I'm going for first fitment of lenses. Not going to bad at the moment
  22. So have now covered my T nuts in Sugru and rough laid out lenses for triming
  23. Can't wait for tomorrow forum name is my gamer tag Xbox one
  24. So eye openings now cleaned up and T-nuts mounted in four places using E6000 and magnets going for belt and braces approached by covering nuts in SUGRU once set
