1. Thanks. Hope your kit arrives soon. There are a fair few issues with the kit. The instructions are pointless. There’s no way you can use Velcro on the kit and get clearance. And regarding the ab section, I think anyone with a 36” waist or above will struggle. The TD plate Is maybe 6inch wife andmust cover the rear split part. My waist is 32” and there’s a 2 “ gap already.
 2. TD backplate This was my first real problem. The design and curve of the backplate is not curved properly. With the ab section not cut up the rear, it fits. When you open the ab section up to fit you, it obviously throws the shape out into more of a curve. Also, they say use Velcro to secure it. This is insufficient for this part due to 2 things. The TD is cast and is fairly heavy. Also, Velcro doesn’t pull the plate in tight and leaves gaps at the edges, which look awful. Here’s what I did to get this to fit. I used some angled plastic to sit in the internal top part of the TD holder. This hooks over to top of the ab section rear and supports the weight of the whole piece, keeping it nice and secure. Then I glued 5mm earth magnets to the lower sides of the TD holder. A thin piece of plastic sheet glued on this, with 2 more magnets on top of that. I then glued 2 5mm magnets inside the armour. Once fitted, it fits and holds really well. I also had to trim the edges of the TD holder slightly to fit the curve of the ab section.
 3. AB Section The ab section has internal overlap strips built in so that they join together. Anovos instructions state to use Velcro, but the crl says seamless. I used devcon plastic weld to glue the 2 halves together. This then means that unless you have a 28” waist that it needs opening along the back. I cut along the rear line, and used snaps and elastic to close it. Even though my waist and chest aren’t huge, there’s a 50mm gap at the lower part of the back, and a 100mm gap at the top. This is ok and is covered by the TD back plate. Withe the ab section glued and cut, I used poly flex flexible body filler to fill the seams that run up the sides of the ab and back section. I mixed it and applied it from a syringe, using a silicone former to spread and shape it. It dries very very quickly and is flexible.
 4. Right. Finally getting round to posting this up on here. I’m almost ready for painting so I thought I’d show what I’ve done so far. Kit was ordered September 2016. Received about 8 weeks ago, minus the lid and the gaskets. This is ok as I have gaskets from GP. I also ordered a lid from sanotized creations. This brings me on to the next point. I had a paint shop unsuccessfully try to match a paint with the armour. It is not possible. They matched it but when you go from being inside to outside and vice vests, the shade of white changes, due to the properties of the plastic. We decided, to keep things uniform, to paint the whole kit and get a lid that requires painting. I’ve seen a few Anovos kids on painted kits that haven’t 100% matched and I didn’t want this. mom a side note, I think that anyone building this kit will have to paint it. Even the suggested paint, that Anovos recommend for the resin parts does not match 100%. Some quick pointers. The yoke needs filling and reinforcing, the ab section needs filling at the seams, the forearms need modifying and the TD backplate needs modifying. More on those later. Here’s what comes with the kit.
 5. Thanks guys. I know it’s taken a while but the kit really is top notch. So much easier than a regular TK. Everything comes pre trimmed so it’s just a case of gluing it together. The Anovos instructions are awful. They say use Velcro almost everywhere like their OTTK. A bit of advice. Don’t bother with them. Make it up as you go along. In a few hours I’ve rigged the abs, cod, butt, legs and spats. Sure, there’s 2 seams to fill on the waist, and the yoke joint to fill, but my brother does car painting and said that it should be easy to paint match and feather in without painting the whole kit. The forearms aren’t great. The shape is a little wrong so I’m waiting on our GMLs input. All in all, it’s a great kit. Was I worth the wait? I’ll let you know when it’s finished. Would i pre order from Anovos again? No chance.
 6. Forgot to say that my red pauldron and FOTK kit came last week, minus the gaskets and the lid.
 7. Received my FOTK armour and red pauldron shipping notice yesterday. No helmet or gaskets yet but it’s a start. Hopefully others will follow.
 8. They responded to me. Saying people are clogging up the ticket system by sending multiple emails. Always the customers fault. They also responded closing all my tickets without actually answering any questions. The only way to get an answer is to put bullet points and ask direct questions.
 9. Yup. Someone’s gotta pay to have Disneyland’s TLJ helmets made and it sure as hell won’t be Anovos!
 10. For anyone interested, shipping to the uk is $340 !!!!!! They invoiced me for shipping April 30th but still haven’t sent my kit. And when they finally get the helmet and gaskets, guess what? SHIPPING IS PAYABLE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
 11. Whilst there may be some truth to this, it’s very hard to believe. There is no way that a container can ship from China to the USA without some sort of shipping itinerary. If not for customs, then for the supplier and receiver. Items sent need to be accountable for. It sounds like another tale from Anovos. What they should have done, when the last window expired 3 weeks ago, was to come clean with everybody. I can only speak for myself, but even if they said it was another few months, I’d wait. I’ve waited this long anyway.
 12. Although the shipping calendar said it would ship in the previous quarter, the last update said before April. But the way Anovos has been going, this is looking optimistic. Chinese New Year is coming up which is an excuse that they have previously used. For these kits are to start shipping to customers before celebration, then they should be leaving China by mid to late February at the latest. Otherwise with the time it takes for them to get to the states, clear customs, arrive at Anovos etc, there is no way they will be ready. The pauldrons allegedly arrived a few weeks ago and are in the process of getting ready to ship. A normal business would have these packed and shipped the minute they arrived. It’s not like the warehouse staff are busy. Anovos must be so desperate for good news that you would think that the second these kits leave China, they would update everyone. But it looks like updates on all products have stopped. I think there are a lot of people, like myself, who have waited this long and the fear of cancelling so near to the end is what keeps us from requesting a refund. I’d hate to have waited coming up to 2 1-2 years, to cancel so close to the end. Saying that, if they don’t ship before April, I may change my mind. I remember thinking I’d have this kit built and cleared by episode 8! Still unsure if it’ll be ready or even shipped by episode 9.
 13. There we go. Just had the dreaded email saying this has been pushed back another quarter. Absolutely no chance of getting these ready for ep8 premier now.
 14. That's the problem with Anovos. They lie from the top and it filters through the company. I believe them that when they told me my items were being packed, they were told this by management, and believed it to be true. Anyway, fingers crossed that the FOTK kits are released on time, by September 22nd.
 15. I also pre ordered a standard kit. Whilst I hope it comes on time, there's only a couple of weeks left, and every email I get from them, I'm expecting it to be about a delay! Regarding the CSR's, I checked at the end of the last quarter about my premier neck seal that was meant to ship. They actually told me that it was being packed as we spoke. Then 2 days later, I received the dreaded delay email. The CSR's are either misinformed or just plain liars.
 16. I pre ordered the standard kit when it first went live, maybe last August/September. It's still saying summer delivery but I'd be shocked if it's not delayed. Anovos seem to have a habit of waiting until a couple of weeks before an item is supposed to ship and then delaying it by 3 months.
For example, I pre ordered the neck seal for a first quarter release. 2 weeks before it's meant to ship, it gets a 3 month delay. The new delivery quarter has about 10 days left so I'm expecting an email this week saying there's another delay.
Whilst I really hope the standard FOTK kit ships by September, I'd be amazed if it does. The whole point of the pre order was to get the kit in September, and get it built and cleared for events in December.
Maybe I'm not being very optimistic, who knows? It's not like Anovos have a history of delays on products is it?!!!
 17. Requesting 501st access please.

http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=22720
 18. For some reason they've just refunded me. I opened a PayPal case as it's been 6 weeks, with no communication, more to get an answer from them than anything.

At least I'm not out of pocket but I now need to try to get another pipe kit.

The annoying thing is, if he'd just replied to an email and said that they'd messed up my order, I'd have just said hang on to my money until you do another run!

Any other suppliers of pipe build kits?
 19. Tim

I got an empty email when they got their items in stock and a confirmation when I paid. I'll give it a couple more weeks and then let PayPal deal with it. I've checked my spam email but nothing. I might try to email him from my work email later on today incase my hotmail has issues.

Mark

Thanks. As luck would have it, my family mostly live about 3 miles from cleethorpes and I'm going to see them for the bank holiday. Might be worth seeing if I can collect it. Now if only I could contact him...............
 20. I ordered a hasbro conversion, a full kit and a pipe kit but tbh I'm at the end of my tether with them. I've sent 3 emails and tried calling both numbers but still heard nothing back. It's been a month tomorrow. Not sure what to do next.
 21. Thanks. I guess that I'll try calling them tomorrow as they're not responding to emails.

When did you place your order that got despatched yesterday if you don't mind me asking? Whatever happened to customer service!!!
 22. Sorry to jump on your thread but what's the deal with Doopydoos? I ordered a couple of kits on April 26th as soon as they get stock in and I've still had nothing delivered. I got payment confirmation but when I emailed them last week to chase it up they never responded?
Is it normal to wait a month with no contact?
Thanks.
