  1. Thank you so much!!! I'm pretty excited to finally start this project! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. Yes, you're absolutely right! I was being too conservative with my cuts. I am more of a visual person, and especially after seeing your pics, I will do some more trimming. Thank you for taking the time to help me! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  3. I was nervous about trimming too much. But yes, I did have my doubts that maybe I still had more to trim. Thank you for your input! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  4. Penciled in the area to be trimmed. Used lexans, then sanded with dremel, and again with finer sandpaper. Might remove just a bit more. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. Here are the shoulder bells, trimmed and sanded. I wonder if I should remove just a little more of the return edge.....? Last pic is from CRL, and that one has a smidge of return edge on the bottom. Hmm. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. I used a pencil to outline the area to be trimmed off on the shoulder bells and used lexan scissors again. I trimmed just outside the line to give me room for error and for sanding. Bell on left is trimmed, right is untouched except for pencil markings. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. I used a pencil to draw the areas that needed to be trimmed on the handguards first. I thought "if I mess it up, this might be the least expensive part to replace!" Used lexan scissors. Still need to sand them down. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. I bought buckles and webbing for the thighs, and 2 inch elastic for the corset at Hobby Lobby, and a few weeks ago, I ordered the snaps from Trooperbay. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. I also ordered my boots from Crowprops. They arrived today, so that was more incentive to get started. The smell of leather was beautifully intoxicating! When I ordered them, he suggested going with the EUR size inside my current tennis shoe label. I did, and they fit perfectly. They are a little stiff around my ankles, but I'm sure they'll soften up over time. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks!!! I hope it turns out ok! Lol Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. As for the back of the thigh, they can only go one way. The wrong side will not match. I labeled these accordingly as well. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. I have read and reread a blog called mydescentintonerdness. Let me tell you, that gal is a genius. Very helpful with all her pics and explanations. She mentioned that the thigh corners will be lower on the inside, so I laid them out and labeled accordingly. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. The inner shin pieces have a L and R imprint, but I labeled it anyway because I think that part gets cut off eventually. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Thank you!!! I have researched this kit a LOT, but i'm still a little nervous! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. First thing I did was lay all the pieces out and label them left and right. The kit is from Kevin Weir, and he had already labeled some of the pieces, so that was very helpful. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. So I received my kit and let it sit in the box. Made up an excuse that I wouldn't touch it until my other 2 costumes were approved. Well, that finally happened. Here goes: Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
