  2. Driling out the sight was alot more difficult. I actually barely nicked the vertical in the site and had to reglue it. But i drilled through the sight from one side, then the other TK92470 sent from Tapatalk
  3. It was not difficult. I ordered the d ring from trooper bay. I cut a small section out of the d ring. I then drilled a hole through the tab at the back of the hyperfirm. I put one end of the dring on one side of the hole and then the other. The section that I had removed from the dring was small so it holds really well in the hole TK92470 sent from Tapatalk
  4. Hello everyone! My name is J.T. and ive been a member of the 501st since 11-2015. My other 501st approved costume is an Animated phase I clone trooper Denal. i was actually approved by my GML a little over 2 weeks ago, but with Florida going through a GML change 2 weeks before that, he didnt have the permissions to add the TK to my 501st profile. Its all good now. i have trooped in my TK 3 times since approval and i think i have ironed out all the little adjustments, although its never perfect, right the first photo was first fitment. only adjustment i had made was dropping the thighs down so there wasn't a huge gap between them and the shin I hadn't separated the kidney or removed the side elastic strap from the chest to back. or done any of the centurion upgrades. I bought my AP armor second hand from a person that trooped it once. he was a little shorter than me, so adjustments had to be made for it to be approvable on me. for one he hadn't separated the but from the kidney. i also went through some changes to make the armor expert infantry and possibly centurion approved. i switched the helmet neck ring out for the s trim. i switched the gloves and hand plate out for the chem gloves and latex hand plates. i'm debating painting the hand plates because they are a little off in color compared to the armor my biggest problem is going to be the butt seams. it was assembled with the overlapping joints and i dont know if i can even redo that without destroying something. i am researching. i am going to be taking pictures in the next few days and applying for expert infantry. thank you all for allowing me to join you in the detachment. 5. My gml was able to add the tk to my 501st profile today. So it's officially official now
  6. My TK has been approved! the Florida Garrison is going through a GML change and the new GML doesnt have permissions to add my TK to my list of costumes. I've already trooped in it 3 times hopefully he will be able to add it soon. here are some pictures from the first fitting. some corrections were made and some upgrades were done i added the s neck trim to the helmet and i added the black chemical gloves with flexible hand plates.
  7. I have a different situation. My TK has been approved by my gml. But due to a recent gml change in the florida garrison, he doesn't have access to add the tk to my list of costumes. Is there another way too get me added to the detachment, or do I just have to wait until he can add the tk costume. I don't mind waiting except that I would like to order a racing shirt and time is running out for that. Thanks TK/TC92470 TK92470 sent from Tapatalk
  8. you searched for black compression shirt and pants? i just did that and received alot of results also ebay has alot. thats where i got my first under suit. there are all kinds of brands not just the under armour brand but here is one shirt auction. ------------- it doesnt show the back of the shirt there is probably a white UA logo on the middle of the neck. most of us have had luck blacking that logo out with a sharpie or paint pen
  9. i just ran across this when getting a new pair of TK boots for my ap armor. the original size boot i had was a little too small for my feet. but i had no problem fitting under the shin. its only one size up. i will try the heat method
  10. i have added the d ring and drilled out the front sight on the hyperfirm since the photo
