I am putting together AM and love it! I think it's great for new builders and there are lots of great build threads out there. He ships quickly also. I would say AM all the way

The shoulder bells on the AM kit are huge! Unless you are a nose guard for the Green Bay Packers, you will need to trim them down to fit. Is there a link or thread on this topic? Also the strip down the sides don't look straight. Is there a right and left bell that I need to know about or identify?

Great job man! I have been following your build thread pretty closely. Hopefully my build will look as great as yours! Thanks for your guidance on the build!

Ok. I noticed that with Navajo bros. He used white webbing under the shoulder straps rather than elastic. Should I use elastic or webbing?

So does the front and back shoulders need to touch or is a gap ok since it's going to be under the ribbed shoulder straps?

Hey guys. So I'm ready to start sizing and trimming my chest plate. I'm not sure how much to trim off of the shoulders. I know that the shoulder parts on AM is big and I am following Navajo Bros. Build very closely however the pictures of his presence trimmed shoulders are much longer than mine. Is there a rule for where to make the cuts? Is it half way or in the middle of the shoulder?

Cool. I knew there had to be a good answer.
I figured it wasn't strong enough but wondered if it would be strong enough for gluing the webbing/snap pieces to the abs and kidney. Just curious. E6000 just takes forever to dry and I'm too scared of using zap a gap....too permanent
-
So why do people not use hot glue gun on some parts of a build?....or do they?
I use e6000 but often wonder why we don't use hot glue. There must be a good reason

So got the 10 mm trimy on both sides which will give me 20 mm total for the cover strips. I installed the inside steps for extra support. The only "problem" is that my lines on the front didn't really match up very well on the shins. I'm guessing that after sanding and adjusting the back it will be fixed and no problem. It's not perfect as I am a complete newbie but have been trying to follow Navajo Bros AM build as closely as I can. Plus you guys on here giving feedback has been a huge help!

that is not with the skin tight undersuit.

so I am doing the fitting of the thighs but they seem like they are a bit too long for my legs. In fact my kneecaps are under the armor. Do I trim the tops down?
-
Looks great! I am thinking about going back and filling in some space with zap a gap just to give it more strength. I used e600 and it feels like a strong bond but not a super strong bond if you know what I mean

I agree, Navajo Bros does a great helmet build. I am following his build thread right now on my AM kit and he does an amazing job explaining each step!

Wow! That one is in rough shape!

Sigh.....ok thanks guys. So I for sure need to trim edges off of the bottom of both thighs and shins correct? ?
-
So I'm working on the thighs and didn't read the build thread closely and cut off the return edges on the top of the thighs. I feel sick to my stomach now. Someone ease tell me this is OK that some people trim it off anyway. Or if not how do I fix this or make new return edges.
-
I wonder if I use velcro to mount the plastic brackets if that would be better than glue. That way if I ever decide to do a different set up inside the helmet I am not stuck with what's in there?
-
Do I glue the clips in to the helmet?
-
I have them. They are the same color as the other stuff right?
-
It came with my AM 2.0 kit
-
is there a thread on this?
-
Also...is there a thread showing how to install the head strapping thingy that comes with AM 2.0?
-
well I finished forearms, and biceps and decided to take a break and tackle the helmet.
its not perfect but its a good start. I decided not to worry myself sick over the gap in the ears because if its really accurate there will be gaps. plus I can fix them later.
As for the eyes, well for now I taped in the bubble lenses just to see what it will look like. I am going for stunt, so I will swap out lenses next week.
Gaining confidence!!!!

help with shoulder bells
in Assembly, Mods, and Painting

so I know that there should be minimal gap between shoulder bells and shoulder bridge. I got what I though was close to the shoulder straps but there still seems to be a large gap. Once I add the bicep strap for support will that help? I feels like its going to fly away on me. Also do I need to trim more off of the bells?
