    Hey good luck to you man! I remember my excitement waiting on my BBB day. Also, mistakes happen as you build. They are going to happen. What you hope for is that they are not major mistakes...but if you go slow and take your time you will be fine. Even if you do make mistakes trimming, you will find that most mistakes can be corrected. Just be careful and pay close attention to what parts keep a return edge and what parts don't. If you have any questions just let me know.

    So even though I still have some trimming of the thighs left to do and still need a holster, today was my very 1st time wearing my armor in public. I am a 3rd grade teacher and today our principal(seen here) made sure we all celebrate Star Wars day today. I suited up and greeted students as they entered school this morning. It was amazing watching their reactions! Doing another star wars event tonight at Barnes and Noble, then a star wars field say at our school with other characters.

    Exactly. Always great to add voice.

     

    If you want immediate satisfaction you can download the TKVoice app on your phone to apply a voice changer.

     

    You get a splitter for your phone that creates a speaker/mic combo. Then attach the mic to the phone and then from the phone to the speaker /aker.

     

    is that an android app?

    So May 4th will be my 1st troop!! I just finished my TK and am pretty proud of it. The only issue is that at this point I do not have a voice changer. My plan is to order one soon. What I do have is the Aker amp with mic. it is actually arriving today in the mail. Is there anything you guys recommend when using one without a voice changer? I know its not ideal but right now its all I have. Or should I just not use it at all and be a silent TK? (I sort of hate doing that cause I know there will be kids talking to me etc) Any thoughts?

    So I am almost finished with my AM 2.0 build.(just missing a holster) and I am ready to join the 501st. Here is the problem<br>

    I live in the upper east TN area so technically I would join the mid south garrison however all of the events or troops are located several hours away from me (Knoxville, Nashville). When I look at the members map to see who is close to me I see that I am very close to several troopers in the VA garrison (only 25 mins away) and about 45 mins from several troopers in the Carolina Garrison. So my question is do I need to join the garrison in my state or the one that is closest to me? Can I troop at events in the other garrisons that are close to me?

    yes it is! I like the way he breaks it down as "Day 1, Day 2" etc.

    I had my laptop open and worked side by side making sure that mine looked just like his. Sure I made some mistakes on mine but nothing major. All I wanted to do was get it finished so that I could wear it. Now that I am done (all except the holster) I kind of miss going downstairs every evening and working on it. I will always be doing little things to it and making modifications as I go though so the work is never really done.

    If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask. I will do my best to help. There were lots of guys on here that helped me and if it were not for them I would have really screwed it up.

    ordered my AM 2.0 kit at the 1st of Feb. got it in a few weeks. Finished it (minus the holster) this past weekend. It was my 1st build and I was very nervous! I liked that it cam pre trimmed and it was in my price range. Of course I had to do lots of additional trimming to fit me but it was not bad at all. I followed Navajo Bro's AM build tread also. His build thread is great for 1st time builders . Its very detailed. I highly recommend AM 2.0. You will be very happy with it I'm sure!!!!!

    so what is a good basic "beginner level" mic system. I am new at this and just finishing my AM kit and would like to add this to my build. I am not at a point where I want to spend a ton of money on this feature yet so for now I am looking for an "entry level" voice mic with static burst (if that even exists) 

    What do you guys recommend?

  25. AM 2.0 almost finished

    So my AM build is almost complete. I still need to add the TD, new boots, neck seal, and holster/blaster but I am happy with this so far since its my very 1st build ever!

    I would really like to figure out a way to use my boots. All I had were old boots that I painted white but they look bad right now. They will work I guess for little local troops here in my community but for "real troops" I know that I need real TK boots.

    Any suggestions on what I have so far would be greatly appreciated!!!!
