FilmPropz is a recaster?
GandalfTheImperial replied to GandalfTheImperial's topic in Recasting Discussion
. Simply put it, it looks exactly like a te based helmet. besides that, you can see the seam from the ears if you dont believe me ( worst case scenario) From looking at the right eye notch, and the sharp ears, it's an AP -
Been looking on etsy for any decals and came across this <br><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/397807611/star-wars-stormtroopet-helmet-kit-empire?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=star%20wars%20helmet&ref=sr_gallery_20'>https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/397807611/star-wars-stormtroopet-helmet-kit-empire?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=star%20wars%20helmet&ref=sr_gallery_20</a><br><br> Saddening

Black Series Stormtrooper Helmet for Rogue One
GandalfTheImperial replied to TK-16845's topic in Rogue One
From what I'veheard from adam savage's experience with the black series hasbro helmets is that they're extremely accurate, he said around 98%. i believe... which is good, since he compared it to his " Prop Shop kylo ren helmet.... If it's that accurate, i trust them with this rogue one tk.. -
Hey, i was wondering if any of you guys/girls know the dimension of the first order helmet (preferably anovos) Was looking at the rogue one trailer multiple times for reference pictures of the shadow-trooper (trying to sculpt my own) and saw a very strong familiarity with the first order helmet. thanks- BTW, do any of you think 44 lbs of plaster is a bit excessive? xD

That's why i said there were ROTJ's stormy's made into sandy's in the SE...
-
The OG's had shiny sandtroopers. What's shiny round? lol Unless you're talking about spanking clean? *Edit* Didn't realize you were talking about Thermal Detonators... Lol... Goddamn 501st and their acronyms And No, it would probably be under Non-Canon CRL's etc.
-
That's why i said I'm not part of the 501st. I'm not that overly keen on praising a single costume. When people talk about 501st to me i usually look away, because again, I'm not that interested into a devoted group. I'm just a guy with a preference.
-
ROTJ armors was used as sandtroopers, ever watched ANH special edition?
-
Ah, yes, I understand where you're coming from, I'm a accuracy freak myself, i was just discussing why i think it's wrong to be overly "Accuracy-Devoted" to start to attack those who just want to make themselves a custom trooper. I mean, I've seen people love death troopers and get attacked "It's ugly and not canon" etc. People have preferences. That's all I'm saying.
-
I'm not part of the 501st per say, I was just stating stormtroopers was a name, a title, and shouldn't relate to a specific armor, since stormtroopers (merchandise etc.) are in no-way directly lined to that of the movie look. Thinking stormtroopers as of something only seen in movies, is "arrogant" and if close the hypocritical, since again, Ralph Mcquirre first visualized it. as most of the people on here don't even have the right to say whats a stormtrooper and what's not. What I'm saying is, i don't think stormy's should go by the 501st's definition and preferred look. Stormtroopers are a title/name. They don't have to be canon-looking, to be a stormtrooper
-
I don't think AP is that accurate. Smooth cap n' back and the clearly modified notch in the left eye

First of all: Tk's don't exist in star wars. Therefore praising tk's a stormtroopers are ridiculous. Second of all: Have you seen rebels, games, Ralph Mcquarrie, or toy license holders such as PlayArts? Stormtrooper is a name, outside the film, it's still a name for armors. First order has stormtroopers with light up blasters. You do understand "Ideal" right? We understand your love for the original trilogy, but you guys need to stop being arrogant. Look at this ideal stormtrooper from playarts. I guess they got the star wars license for nothing, huh? Sorry for being harsh, but i don't understand what you guys have against anything that isn't liz moore's or brian muirs work. You guys act like the basic design of a stormtrooper can't be altered, as if you're the people who created star wars. Stormtroopers are stormtroopers, enough said. They don't relate to the specifications you people put out, it's just a name. You don't say marines dressed out of their uniforms "Aren't Marines" See my point?

If you ever apply, and have to change them, get mineral turpetine, really, really rubs off enamels/testors without effecting the gloss of the plastic.
