  1. I got my AP last night and the velcro just doesn't hug the curves on the thighs like you'd want it to, personally i am making the thighs permanently together because they are big enough to just slide on and off and same with both arm pieces i think.
  2. haha whoops lots of those little things were just me throwing it on due to excitement and not taking much care is seeing where or how they are fitting. (first time ever suiting up)
  3. yeah i know about the handplates and ammo thing.... the reason they arn't on is just because i really did just take it out of the box and put it on and missed a few things But i do have them! Also, how would you suggest i have the back and ab plate hug my body a bit better?
  4. So my AP armor just came in today and its fantastic!!!!! I got AP to assemble it and i have done nothing else, let me know what you think. I don't have proper gloves or pants or boots and i know my ab plate is a bit out to the side and the upper arm pieces arn't quite right, annnd my thigh pieces need to be held up better, and that one thigh is coming apart a bit and i think the knee thing is on the wrong side . Am i missing anything else? I want to be sure i look best i can. Just got excited to have it so i threw it on however i could fit it! Maybe tomorrow i will actually try to make it look proper Any tips on if i need to trim at all or not?(hope not!!!!)
  5. And i dont suppose these are anywhere near accurate enough? (for eventually elite anyway) -------- Problem is that cash is a little lower than i thought and nowhere else has my size (also, i already have just plain old black leather gloves for the permacold that is Canada ... will those be okay to start out with until i can find a deal on something better or will that just not be accepted?)
  6. Pay someone else!? That sounds like my kinda boots Any way to reach cobbler? Thanks for all your input too by the way
  7. Yeah, i had a look at black jodhpurs but have 0 idea how to dye them properly... I know a tutorial is most likely a click away, but I was really looking for the quick and easy route But if its whats best, then thats what it'll have to be!
  8. Hey, so i am looking for some TK boots size 9..... i checked caboots but they have size 10 and i'm not sure if they take paypal or ship to canada so i was looking at other options and really didn't find much, and advice?
  9. Whoa! this is so weird, i just got an e-mail from him saying he just finished the helmet and only has to slap some velcro in the right places and its off for delivery (arriving in a week or 2) and he also asked if i had a friend from here ordering the same thing which really creeped me out because we're doing this as a joined hobby kinda deal to do together! He really pays attention.
  10. Yeah, thats what i thought! Here is what he said! "Thank you payment in full received for a fully assembled ready to wear stormrtooper armor, We will process your order ASAP. Mark" So i guess its a pretty good deal!
  11. It's kinda vague, but he did say its ready to wear right out of the box.... but i doubt it'll fit perfect, or even close right away
  12. And actually (sorry for double post) But is it still a lot of work even if the kit comes trimmed? Because i do want to gain some kind of experiance but i just think a whole untrimmed kit might be a bit much for me at first.
  13. Well that makes me feel a lot better! It was nothing against AP or anything, its just that before some of Stompers Hovi's got lost in the mail somewhere and now i get nervous when things seem to take a long time because i know i can trust Stomper (he even so nicely replaced them for free!!). *phew* takes a lot off my mind
  14. Hey! I havn't been around here in a while due to midterms and stressful school fun... But i did manage to get an AP set ordered back in January. Which kind of concerns me a bit now, its exactly 1 week shy of taking an entire month to get here and i'm just wondering if thats kind of a normal thing or if i just have some kind of attraction to things getting lost coming to my address? One thing that may be taking it longer is that my brother amazingly forked out $200 to get it pre built before shipment as a late christmas present (and because he got a new job). So maybe thats whats holding it up?
  15. Well what i ended up doing was taking her on a shopping trip in the city in a place we've never been to with each other before, i gave her a $100 budget and told her to go nuts she loved it! She also got me this HUGE marvel blanket with spidey, wolverine, and the hulk on it and its sooo fuzzy! I love it and so after shopping and dinner at her favorite restaurant we curled up in my new giant nerdy blanket and played some xbox before watching saturday night live and i drove her home good day...... Thanks for all the ideas! Really the best thing that i did (or could have done) was just be in situations where it was just the two of us being us... talking and being dumb alllll day, which was perfect!
  16. holy crap! SO many replies, I think i am good as far as a gift goes (its been about a year dating for us, but not quite so its first v-day)..... We always eat before we see each other or she'll come over for dinner, or i'll go over there so we're going to one of her favorite resteraunts ever which is like a 45 minute drive out of town so we only went there once before together. But i definitly agree that quality time is a great thing and if it wasn't so freaking cold out I'd go for a walk with her or picnic or something like that where its just the two of us. But with that being a not so fun option its tough to think of something else to do we usually hang around the house or go shopping/movie so none of that! i want to actually talk to her too, but a shopping day in the big city might be a good idea that way we'll be in the neighborhood for when dinner rolls around! Either way, thanks guys! and keep the idea's commin! the more i have to choose from the better off i'll be
  17. So, this being the one place where i know i can trust everyone to give me good solid advice i come with a problem. This is the first valentines day i have ever had where i have been in a pretty serious relationship.... getting my girl some roses and chocolates just won't cut it! I got her a few things she'll enjoy but aside from dinner at her favorite place what can i possibly do for the rest of the entire day!?!? i havn't got the slightest idea! Our town is boring and there isn't a nice or romantic thing to be found anywhere... and we always see movies so thats out. And of course she is wanting me to plan the whole thing out since she ALWAYS has to make the decisions.... or so she says. Help me FISD, you're my only hope!!!!
  18. Ouch :S Hope you have to endure as little handless time as possible!
  19. yeah i want to put them in the new AP bucket thats on its way..... SO HARD not to set them up in my MRCE and i feel it was a justified decision
  20. So after a month in school i decided i can easily survive without a laptop, and so because of that i ordered my AP today :) i am VERY excited
  21. That is still true for the most part but you still have to pay extra to get true tracking... Not too sure exactly how hard it is to track but if you think about it, Canada Post has to keep tabs on something relying on international information and a completely different system (even if the numbers themselves are pretty standardized in terms of how the tracking system is set up). I think its because it makes the other ways of sending it look that much better, and lets them tack a nice big fee on it too! Often times the international parcel is something like $25 - $30 but only tracks in Canada, while the next one up that will provide accurate tracking and garuntee a specific delivery date can be upwards of $70 for the same parcel. Sure, a lot of what you're paying for is the speed and garuntee but i really doubt that the tracking info being sent to Canada to be put on their site really costs much.... Just my $0.02 edit: and it does matter what other mailing systems you deal with.... Canada and the US are always true tracking from door to door, but as soon as you take it across the ocean it gets hazy
  22. Oh wow, i thought it had only been a week or 2! (but i guess its been that long since you heard anything?) i PM'd you what info i had on your situation.... I'd definitly go for that C/S number i gave you then. So yeah, i told you to wait buuuut at this point that seems really long even to me! So go for everything you can i guess.
  23. I work at a Canada Post retail outlet! What your problem may be is that some packages are only tracked while they are in Canada and then don't record anything because its difficult to interact with other countries mailing systems... but that all depends on the way it was sent of course, if its a pretty premium product like xpresspost or priority world wide then you whould be able to track it anywhere. But in most cases the standard ground or air packet is not so trackable and even some of the lower end xpresspost stuff like the little envelopes arn't heard of past the border. So my best advice is to sit tight and wait it out.... Canada Post SUCKS for getting things anywhere fast (without costing a small fortune). To ball park how long things take overseas is generally 1.5-3 weeks depending on the service he picked and size of the package.... and dont forget being held up by customs! Anyway i hope my normally useless info can help I think he probably sent it by international surface which is better than regular air/ground and has the tracking number.... but the number again only tracks within Canada for some indeed, silly reason, i'd guess it should be about 2 weeks max if thats the case. Now excuse me but i am off to work i'll check back in a couple hours from the work computer in case you had any more questions. (or if anyone has Canada Post questions for that matter) ~Brad
  24. So i have a Wal-Mart voice changer and just waiting on stompers hovi's (which will be here soon i hope!). Anyway, right from the get go i took apart the voice changer because i will be using a different speaker set and most likely a new mic of sorts. But the 3 AA battery power supply is massive! So i was just wondering if its a good idea to replace it and what i should replace it with. 9v?
  25. Hahahaha, all i can say is.... best thread i've ever started......
