Aww that sucks I'd be so down. so you just went to a store for no reason? Haha
Damn idk how I'm going to put it on in the parking lot
Haha..it was the day of TFA premiere. Yeah I couldn't have done it without my friends. I don't know how some troopers put on their armor by themselves. Well if you go..make us proud!

I'm in southern CA. That's cool I want to do it now lol how did you get to the store since you can't drive or be in a car with the suit on??
Ah dang..if you were in this area and if I wasn't sick, I'd probably go with you. I rode went with friends, only had certain pieces on in the car and put on the rest in the parking lot...haha.

do stores like target and best buy allow people in costume into their stores?? or will the make a big deal out of it ?
Where are you located in CA? I've done it at both places and never had any issues minus the onslaught of people wanting to take pictures

Congrats Aaron! Can't believe how quickly you finished this build. It seemed like just yesterday was BBB day for you! Just awesome!

I know - I love those racing shirts that Joseph just announced however today marked the end of my purchases till next year (with the exception of a few badges) when I have paid off what I owe.
So my fans, audio, sound, DLT-19, and personalization TK stuff will have to wait which is fine by me - It's those smiles I'm most looking forward to.
My son has requested a Star Wars birthday party this year so I'm going to try and get a few of the garrison mates involved to see if I can to really blow his mind. He keeps telling me that no one at his Daycare believes his Daddy is going to be a Stormtrooper - can't wait to see those faces either when I go to pick him up (sinister laugh)
That's really the best feeling. I don't have kids, but I went suited up in my old armor to pick up my best bud's son at his school and chaos ensued. Literally one of the funnest times I've had wearing my armor, to see all the kids so excited.
I can't even imagine how you're going to feel with your own son!

Hey Tom, what did you use to plug up the teeth when you painted the inside and how did that work for you?

Great start so far!

A pic of Mark's armor never gets old!

Time to get some elastics ready for those shoulder bridges!
Using some thin gauge wire (old trip line lol) I created a hook and pulled it through the gap so that once tied I can hide the knot inside my straps.
That's genius! I like that!

Thanks!

@ Mark
These aren't perfect yet but I'm gently and VERY slowly working at them.. but I already have it gently seated down a little more flush..
Making sure I don't taper too much as I want to ensure I maintain the strength. But I might end up re-inforcing the underside anyway.
Hey Angie, what did you use to make it sit better? A drill bit?
Dang that black outline is perfect!

You got this buddy!

hiya, I have read numerous threads that recommend putting a very small rounded edge at the end of the brow to help ensure that the pressure of the brow won't cause any issues and actually sits better. Those that I know are currently in their builds are also doing the small rounded hole.
I haven't heard of any actual cracking issues but I'm not taking a chance. You can't even see it really.
Ah ok very cool. Good to know, thanks!
-
Looking good and congrats on the start! Per the hole on the brow for the pressure crack. This is the first I'm reading this. Is this an actual problem?

Hey Aaron,
In your pic of your kidney plate, per the notch on your right side, the return edge on top of the notch, did you use an iron on that? (Damn, there's a lot of commas in this sentence)
-
Hugh if I had been able I would have gone a size up just so I could put a gell insole in .As it is that would make mine far to tight so if you are thinking of additional insole i would say go a size up.
Thanks for the feedback Mark! Are you saying the boots aren't very comfortable as is without a gel insole?

Rubber floor mat from a liquidation store, and just be cautious if you're using my thread mate remember I'm a bigger guy and I'm still a green horn too and can make mistakes.
Really useful threads that have helped me are on Page 7 of my thread. I highly recommend using Tony's ATA thread as it is more similar to our AP than the A..something. It's the same thread Sentry put up:
ukswrath's AM 1.0, ATA bucket build
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/31920-ukswrath%27s-AM-1%2E0%2C-ATA-bucket-build
Thanks for posting Tony's build thread!
I've never seen this. Tony is just a beast! Definitely not human.

So I noticed a lot order a size up but then a lot also order the same size and it works out as well...eh..confused.
I wear a size 9 in sneakers with a little bit of room but I like the comfort. So I'm wondering if I should order just order 9?
-
Some crazy drop box configuration...awesome! Do you leave any space between the boxes and the belt? Or is it right up against the edge?
-
Liking this idea! Where did you get the rubber mat?

Anyone else noticed in the Extras from TFA, especially during the table read, they kept pronouncing his first name as "Kee-Lo"?
