  1. Finished product and a wipe down and polish.
  2. Cover strips sized and glued. Now the wait... Used CA glue for the backing strips, but E600 for the cover strips.
  3. After cut them to size, we made backing strips out of left over scrap ABS from my build. Both of the biceps had got a hot water bath to close them together do to the tension. The process went smooth. I also had to trim and use my hobby iron to remove the excess ABS from the top/gap of both biceps because it bother my wife when they were on her arm and I think it looks better.
  4. After the initial trim, I realized pretty quick that I would be taking a lot of plastic off.
  5. The first thing we started with was her biceps.
  6. Right off the bat I can tell that the Anovos is a little thinner than my armor, and not as white. However, all-in-all, I am real happy with the kit.
  7. Let me first begin with the fact that is is a co-build with my wife. I want to be sure she has a successful build and doesn't hurt herself along the way. My wife has been wanting to get involved with my garrison after hearing my stories and seeing pictures of troops I have attended. I was able to score an Anovos kit (uncut/untrimmed), soft parts, and a brand new pair of TK Boots for an unbelievable deal. Like my build, I figured I would start a build thread showing my progress.
  8. Thanks brother!!! For all your help and assistance!!! Ladies, gentleman, my fellow troopers, this man here truly is amazing!!!

  10. Thank you everyone for you suggestions and advice. I want to give a special shout out to my friend and mentor, gazmosis. Without him this would not be possible.
  11. Here we are again, the final challenge...Centurion!!! Like all here, I put my heart into this. After achieving EIB, I took to heart the recommendations and corrections ask and advised of my fellow troopers and Deployment Officers (first photo). Again, always looking for constructive criticism; it is the only way to improve. Thanks in advance... 12. Chris Ward 81477 EIB Letter Thanks in advance!!!
  13. Thank you very much!!! I will work on your suggestions and recomendation immediately. The bells will not be an issue at all. The forarm/bicep gap just needs a little fine tuning. As of right now they pinch. Maybe they just need allittle taken off and brought up. That should solve that. As far as the thigh pack. I had issues installing it. I didnt' measure twice before drilling and made the hole a little to far over, causing the belt to be extremely tight, and well, in its current position. I have an idea for it, but welcome suggestions from you and all. Thanks again! See you in Centurion...
  14. Thanks for the advice. Truly! I can't do too much more with the forarms, they already pinch when I bend my arms. Unless, you may have a tip of trick that I am not thinking of.. Thanks again. Cheers
  15. Thanks for the tips and advice. I will work on the bells right away. The Thigh pacj may be alittle more challenging. When I put it on a couple of issues and it ended up being super tight. I will look further into it and see what I can do. Thanks again. Here is hoping I get reviewed and approved soon. Cheers...
  16. Kathryn, that looks real good. I am going to do this. Thanks for the ideas.
  17. Here goes nothing. I really worked hard on this and I am proud of the work. Above all, I am beyond ecstatic that I am a member of the 501st. I look forward to this next challenge with EIB. 18. I recently completed my armor and was excepted into the 501st and local garrison. My next step was to pick up a box to transport my armor so I can get out trooping. I picked up this guy yesterday at the Home Depot. I went there for a Stanley because it seems to be the going trend (so why reinvent the wheel) but they unfortunately all out or too small. So far I like it a lot, I just have to do a few modifications to it (i.e. line it with foam or rubber and identification). It is on the big side, but it fits in my FJ perfectly! -----------
  19. Went to the Home Depot to day to pick up a Stanley Mobile Chest put they were out. So I picked up this guy. It seems to work just fine...
