  1. Hi DeathProof, can you tell me where you got the DLT kit, the electronic kit, and how much each cost? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Sorry, no. You can probably find a used store mannequin for cheaper. I just didn't want to go looking for one, and wanted to try making this. (I also am a mechanical engineer, so building things is in my nature). The only thing you get out of this is maybe adjustable arms! I really just wanted to show people how it was easy to do and could be built in one day if you had to.
  3. Hello Troopers. I'm sure something like this has been done before, but I wanted to give it a shot and attempt it myself. I wanted to share with you my custom built PVC tube Stormtrooper armor stand, or mannequin. I built it in one day, and it cost about $100 from the hardware store. (Depending on if you have supplies and tools already). Here is the finished product: Here is what parts you start out with: Here are the tools you need: And here are the in process pics. No real explanation needed, it's pretty simple. Cut the longer tubes to fit your armor size, and some joints you glue, others you leave loose to move. (And REmove). Who let that battle droid in here!?! I hope you enjoyed this build! TK-36921 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Geektechlive. I will probably just give it a shot as I planned, (larger circles) and see if it makes a noticeable difference in my pictures to the 501st. I can always just get a better belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Engineers want to have it all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yes, that's the first option that has been suggested and supported before. The question in this thread (see beginning) is to keep 4 screws and cover the top two. It is more unsightly, but better for "hidden strength". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Good enough for 501st approval? Not glued yet, but everyone gets the gist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks Joseph. And I agree the belt sags and sucks as out of box. I compensated by using E6000 between the plastic front and fabric. That part turned out pretty well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Umm, yeah.... THAT LOOKS SOOOO COOOOL! Man that is awesome customization. Great work Dan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. And one more question; doing this mod makes it more like "hero" or "stunt"? Which one again? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I love it and want to follow, but waiting for someone "knowledgeable" (not a noob like me) to say yeah, that's equivalent. Cmon knowledgeable ones! Please agree?! [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Typical: I read more about how to improve this build AFTER I complete it! Here's some more pics for peeps to "comment on". Thanks for the tips Jedidad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I've just finished my build of one of these E-11 kits. It is what it is. I like it, it was fun to build, (LOTS OF SANDING!), and functional. I appreciate his service to those wanting a decent blaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Now that is just cool! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
