  1. Good looking build so far. Keep it up
  2. Best of luck Scott. I did my Amsterdams and was very pleased with the results. Had to resist wearing them until I was comfortable they were dry. A little bit of Angelus goes a LONG way. Try not to glob it on. Instead of frog tape, i used the 3m painters tape. did great. Any bleed I painted with flat black model paint. I stripped with acetone. It did alright with the towels. You might have better luck with the deglazer. The tulip paint was a bit of a pain. I did 4 coats and saw minimal results. ended up using the Angelus on the elastic in about 6 light coats. (opening the elastic most i could and packing paint in lightly). Haven't used a sealer yet.....probably should......
  3. Appreciate it! Good stuff here. Dying to see the progress. I got mine in the mail today. I hope he plans on adding the rest of the pieces. GREAT build he's got going on.
  4. I ordered one of these and am patiently waiting for it. Have the files been posted yet or still fine tuning them? I cannot wait to crack mine open and follow this build. Great job! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. Yep. What abn said. I cut mine using the dremil and a steady hand Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  6. Looking good. How do you plan on attaching the lenses? Look into Sugru, very easy to work with. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  7. quick heads up, the original phone number listed here is not correct...you call that number, you end up getting a psychic telephone service thing. 877-560-6477 That is the number you want
  8. I have been APPROVED!!! TK 46700, Midsouth Garrison! Onward to EIB Certification
  9. TK 46700 Requesting Access http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=19134 Thank you!!
  10. Awesome. Once my latex handguards and rubber gloves come in from Karin and I get a blaster, I'm going for expert infantry, then ultimately centurian. A couple things to tighten up here and there Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  11. Yea, I had a problem hunting down a hobby iron to do it. Didnt want to use the heat gun, thinking it would have been overkill. Appreciate it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  12. That's embarassing. I sent the same link to my gml haha. Fixed. Thanks for the heads up. ABN. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

  14. Not bad at all. Yea, I saw that hole in the video. Easy to cover up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  15. Do you have any pics of it up close after you primed and painted it? I'm thinking of getting either the nerf or disney blaster to troop with. Might get a rubber cast one for ESB/Centurian cert.
  16. You are absolutely right. Found a youtube video of it, That stock is tiny. BUT!, nothing that bondo won't fix lol. It's also filmsy. better off getting the kit in the end for the disney blaster.
  17. Yea. I have tan ones for my uniform. Haven't had a black one since the BDU days. This belt was no more than 8 bucks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  18. True I was looking for it this weekend. Couldn't find it anywhere. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  19. My decal guy did an outstanding job with the tube stripe decals. Gave him the CMYK code for French blue and here's the final result. Went with the "hand painted" look on them. Subtile Here is the inside. Top is padding from an old motorcycle helmet with some ACH/MICH pads to help fitment on the forehead, back of head, and cheeks Garter belt system for thigh armor pieces. Riveted snaps to a tactical duty belt. Elastic snaps to thigh pieces. Plastic hand guards for normal trooping with black nomex gloves. Ordered a pair of Latex guards with rubber gloves from Karin for certification and the fancy trooping. Canvas belt from TKittell and Holster from Darman. OUTSTANDING work by both of these individuals on the craftmanship of their products. Drop boxes have back to them both attached and closed magnetically. incase i want to put things in their, you never know. Obviously something that wont be affect by a rare earth magnet. Waiting on 2" Elastic so I can attach the chest and back plates, then attach shoulder pieces.
  20. I think pull the stock off and transplant it to the Disney E11 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  21. This seems like a good option, if you can get it working right. You have the static breaks, decently loud, and you can output it to smaller speakers. only thing i would do is make the PTT button longer and route it through the sleeve to the glove. heck, I can even probably power it from my usb battery as with my fans. Been checking out some videos of it in action on youtube, pretty good IMO
  22. Ah yea. It's Lithium ion Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  23. This is the exact concept i was thinking. My daughter has a couple toys she doesn't use. I'm going to find a switch from one of those. I ended up going with a bit bigger battery, PNY T6600 ($25 bucks at best buy, Can charge a phone 4 times over) that has 6600 mAh with 2 USB ports, one puts out 2.4 amp and the other is 1A. I hooked up a ohmmeter to a stripped USB cable, showing about 7.3 - 7.5 v output on each.
  24. This is going to be the build of builds. So impressive.
  25. So the folding stock on the Disney E11 is non functioning. The star wars Rebels blaster (highly inaccurate) is a longer blaster, but the folding stock on it seems more true to size (PLUS IT FOLDS). Can be easily modified to look the part IMO. I have to see it in person.
