  1. Worked a little on the teeth and ended up with this. I know that i have to clean the edges of the teeth. Teeth left side Teeth right side Front view Faceplate Right eyebrow trimmed to the right length. Left eyebrow trimmed to the left length. First fitting and adjusting of the helmet.
  2. Thanks for your thoughts. I think i'll have to cut a bit more off then. Slow process: Right eye trimmed a bit more. Left eye trimmed a bit more. Do you think it's enough or should i trim even more?
  3. Hey there, after a little break i could work on my TD again. As i described my problem with the total length, i did the quick&dirty fix. So now i have a gap of 5mm between the metal clips and endcaps. Total length now 190mm. Not happy with this looking but it should work for the moment. Will deffo build another TD without any gaps and the right sizing. 5mm gap between metal clips and endcaps. Total length of 190mm. TD top view. TD bottom view. TD is almost done. I just have to glue the control panel on the pipe. Next thing would be the helmet. This beast makes me crazy. I have so much respect and am afraid to do a wrong cut or ruin everything... but hey you'll never know if you'll never try. First things first. Before cutting i did research some original helmets and took it as reference. Pencil strokes were made and ready to cut. Strokes on the left eye. Strokes on the right eye. Cutting right eye. Cutting right eye complete. Cutting left eye. Cutting left eye complete. Eye cutting complete front view. What do you think about the shape of the eyes? Good so far? Any advices? So this was rough cutting.. next step is sanding the edges a bit.
  4. I reduced the thickness of the end caps to 20mm. But now as you can see the total length is about 180mm instead of 190mm. The CRL says for level two certification "little to no gap between clips and end caps". The quick and dirty fix is a gap of 5mm between the clips and end caps. Is this size of gap okay?
  5. Hey guys, you don't know how excited i was when my two big brown boxes arrived from RS Propmasters. It was like Christmas and my Birthday at the same time. Everything was wrapped nicely and covered - good job on that RS. While inspecting all the parts i realized that two parts are missing (canvas belt and green eye film). But that's okay.. i am in contact with the support and we will find a solution for that. So this is my first Build and i will start with a small piece to get the feeling for the material (ABS) and general experience. As you can see i have to flatten the top edge of the control panel. Clips are pre-bent and attacged by RS. 25mm wide clips. Length of 177mm of the tube without the caps. I set the thickness to 21mm. Is that the right size for the caps? Or should i take more off to get the total length of 190,5mm? Regards, Alex
  6. Nope but on Tantive i think i saw a white strip on the biceps holding it together Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yup, for some research i watched the movie couple of times again and again and at some point i had to laugh out loud. Never saw this issue until now ^^ While troops entering and running through the gangway, you can see that the shin cover will disconnect and opens. https://youtu.be/TDv6tzMVUV4
  8. Thank you for your fast and kind advice. :-) And thanks for the build threads. Really really appreciated. Okay i want my armor most screen accurate so i'll go with the ABS kit.
  9. Hey guys, my name is Alexander and i have soime questions about some things before i get started. First things first: I am not the tallest man in the universe with 5'5" and weighing something about 132lbs. For better knowledge about my body and size.. here are my approx. measurement: Head: 54cm / 21" Shin: 35cm / 13.77" Thigh: 32cm / 12.6" Torso: 43cm / 17" Full Arm: 70cm / 27.55" Forearm: 24,5cm / 9,64" Upper Arm (Biceps): 20cm / 7.9" As you can see, i am not that kind of Wookiee. I'm liking the ANH Stunt version and with this said, i will get this kind of armor kit. I've read a lot of sizing and manufactuers and i think i will give RS Prop Masters the chance. I had contacted those guys and told them the same measurements and they told me that my sizes should not be the problem with this kit. Would you guys say the same thing? They offers the product in two kind of plastics, ABS and PVC. Do you have a favorite? Which kind of them are better or worse? Pro and contra would be very appreciated. They also offers a strapping package with all the stuff for the strapping (you don't say?! ). Did you guys get any kind of experience with this strapping package? Is it worth it or would you say go with other ones.. For now this is it. Hope you guys can help me out in some points. And ofc i will read many building threads to get some ideas for my own build. Kind regards, Alex
