1. I have now added a link to allow anyone to download the M38 scope cross-hair sets that I show in post 136 (Also see posts 210 and 231 for photos of a set of cross-hairs installed). These can be printed on transparent over head projector sheets and installed in the scopes.

The link can be found on the first post of this build thread. Please feel free to download and use as required.

  2. Hi Bryn.

Nice work on the Hengstler. The scope is also looking great so far and I do like the look of the reticle.

With regard to the query about the glue personally I would go for the E6000 for the following reasons: -

    1) No mixing required.

    2) The bond is immediately strong enough to hold most items in place though I would still add an elastic band or similar to hold parts whilst the glue sets.

    3) Despite a good immediate hold it is still possible to move the glued parts or remove them if required for a fair amount of time.

Keep up the great work and i look forward to seeing your future updates.

  3. Kev I had great fun scratch building my own power cylinders so it's certainly worth a go. Your tent poles have a slightly larger diameter than the 9.55mm diameter brass tubes I used. It would be interesting to know if anyone knows the correct diameter of the actual screen used power cylinders.

  4. Hi Tino I was wondering if you were still intending to incorporate electronics in this build. One thing which I would be very interested to see would be a reworking of the electronics so that the sound effects created are say 3 or 4 times louder then the typical star wars blaster toys available.

I'm not an electronics expert by any means but assume that this may need an upgraded amplifier and or speaker/speakers........just a thought

  5. Wow Tino your quality of work and innovation continues to amaze me. I really need to set aside some time to have a really thorough read through the whole build thread do far. The other great thing about your build threads is the actual level of detail and quality of how your threads are put together.

Builds like this so tempt me to start a new build myself but I really do need to get some armour sorted first.....just need to get saved up!!!

  6. Richard it's great to see that you are back on with your blaster build and have made a good deal of progress.

I also had some issues with bending my scope rail so you aren't the only one with this issue. I actually ended up snapping mine so had to build a replacement using a aluminium ruler.

I can't wait to see how the blaster looks once completed.
