Sorry, no sign to hold up as I didn't find out about this until after the pic was taken. And since I'm the only TK here on the Big Island this was a solo troop. Tons of fun though, soooo many happy kids, and a Santa that thought I was the coolest thing since Christmas! Mele Kalikimaka!

In Hawaii, the word 'Haole' is most commonly used to describe a Caucasian or white person from the mainland. While I've been here going on 40 years, I am white, and therefore still a haole. The second part of it is my profession. Early in my career I was often referred to as the 'Haole Cop',even though I am local. I never take offense to it, although depending on the way it is used, 'haole' can he very derogatory. I can't wait until I reveal my shiny, white TK!

How are the tin snips on trimming out the curved areas?

Got back to work on my E-11 this afternoon (thanks to you). Started taking pics this time and will definitely post that build thread in the future. Yours is looking great, keep up the good work!

I've got some painters tape standing by. I actually did my homework on here before deciding on the Amsterdam's. Everyone sharing has been very helpful.

Received my Bass Amsterdam's in the mail yesterday and just thought I'd share my initial thoughts on sizing, feel, etc. After reading numerous reviews, I decided to order down a half size. I normally wear a 10.5 US, but I went with the 10 (normal width). I do wear a size 10 in dress shoes, and that's what also helped in my final sizing decision. Purchased everything you see in the photo on Amazon and for some reason, the size 10's were almost $20 cheaper then the 10.5's. If you're looking to purchase your boots from Amazon, select your size first to obtain an accurate price as the price does vary by size as stated in other posts. I was very pleased with the initial look and feel of the boot. I found that the 10 is actually a perfect fit with even a little room to possibly fit some comfortable shoe inserts in them as well. I will be stripping them with acetone and hopefully will be able to start the painting this weekend. Stay tuned for updates & wish me luck.
