Agreeing with everyone here. Go for it. I didn’t think I’d look good in a Stormtrooper either, because I’m 6’2”, and was a little heavier than I am currently when I finished my kit. According to my makers website, you had to have a “mesomorph” body type. I went so far as to contact them to see if the armor would fit me if I got it. They said with modifications, it “should”. I purchased one. With encouragement from people here, and help from some friends, I was able to get through my build and live my dream of donning Stormtrooper Armor. Do what Jordan said and read up on a work in progress page, and get yourself familiar with the work that will have to be done. There are lots of great people here that are encouraging and helpful. Have fun and good luck.

Great work so far. Will you be aiming for higher levels of accuracy? It’ll you are it adds very little time to the build and most changes are fairly simple, like adding the flexible hand guards. Good luck, and have fun on the build.

Welcome Kevin. I am also a huge Predator fan (except the AVP films). Would you happen to have any pictures of that? I’d love to see them. Looking forward to seeing your TK armor as well.

Greetings and Salutations.

I had luck gluing the front down first, then forcing the sides down with clamps and E-6000. It took two or three day of gluing but it worked.

Welcome aboard.

Hello, John. I hope you suppressed the scum. Glad to see you’re okay. All joking aside, your have done a great job on your armor. Welcome to the FISD.

Welcome. I have always thought the R1 TKs looked cool with the tweaks they made to them. I’m looking forward to seeing your finished product.

I think just yesterday AM had sets ready to go. It’s nice thick plastic and good if your taller or wider.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI’m a 6’2” and currently weigh 236. I was happy with the thickness after seeing it in person at a troop a few weeks ago. My Anovos is pretty thin.

I’m late to this party, but I’m all caught up. Im looking to get an AM kit in the near future, so I’ll be watching this with great interest.

This troop was in support of the Stockton Heat, an American Hockey League team based in Stockton, California. The event was held indoors, and we greeted Heat and Star Wars fans as they entered the Stockton Arena before the game.
Another trooper and I was asked if we could go to a groups suite as we were going down to the main hall, which we agreed to. We had fun with that family and took some photos with them. I decided it would be fun, in pure Stormtrooper fashion, to go to other suites, bang on the doors and do security sweeps. Everyone had great fun when we did this, and were grateful we stopped in.
Here’s us taking a quick break for some Foosball.
And finally, before retiring for the night, I tried to work on my droid identification skills.
It turns out that it WAS NOT the droid I was looking for
Photo Credit for the buttom picture goes to @FirstOrderConcepts who joined in the fun handling for his very first time.

If you decide to go FO that would be fantastic, there are a few of us here in Reno hoping to do the same (have been waiting several years for Anovos!).
Unfortunately Brien, I will not be going FO. I’m looking to get an AM TK kit and build it to Centurion, and turn my current Anovos Armor into a TD.

Sure you may do that. As long as it conforms to the rules. Good luck!
Thank you.
