Woohoo! Thanks Tony and Andrew! I'll be sure to give the detonator a firm tug next time, and giving the boots some more coats is on the to do list! I'll have to lose some weight to be able to wear the thighs higher, but that's not a bad thing in my case From basic approval to Centurion in 5 days, I didn't expect that when I started building this 2 months ago Thanks everyone for the very helpful feedback and the great help I got in my build threads!

Thanks Andrew, looking forward to it! There were only some minor adjustments, so I could do them all this weekend. One thing I see now in my pictures is that I didn't push the thermal detonator down far enough on by belt. Hope this isn't a problem, you can see in the left and right side pictures that there is actually some room left on the clips to push it down further. I think my EIB pictures show it sits correctly normally (that's what you get when your GF helps you suit up )

Nice nice, a lot of work done in those few days. The dremel is way faster that scissors

Glued the thermal detonator. Unfortunately my aluminum strips aren't aligned perfectly, so the little gap on the left is unavoidable (it looks worse than it is because of the angle of the shot). Hope this is ok: Bonus pic, glued the handguards with rubber repair from Bison, and added some heavyweights to push down on them

Thanks for the feedback Andrew!<br><br> I shortened my forearm straps yesterday, and I'm working on my detonator today. The rubber hand guards are giving me a headache, I tried CA glue yesterday but that didn't work. So today I'm trying rubber repair stuff from Bison. Third time is the charm (I hope). I'll post the adjusted detonator here when it's done.

I have tickets for the 10.00 AM showing on the 16th... Along with about half of the Dutch Garrison After that showing a lunch with the garrison and then probably a troop all day at that cinema.

I thought about that, and maybe that's easier. I already have them completed now, and I won't need to hassle with velcro or whatever to get them to work on the nomex.<br><br> So I guess I'll just have two pairs of gloves, one accurate pair with all rubber parts and one with the nomex plus abs handguards. <br><br><br> Sometimes the solution is right in front of you.

Thanks! Yeah, I noticed the forearms are too low, I finished the straps for those Sunday morning too, and this was actually the first time I had them on like this. Right now they don't feel right too, so I will definitely adjust them. I will probably use some of these photos for my EIB approval, and I will do a reshoot with the final adjustments and correct handguards for the Centurion application Right now I'm waiting on the initial approval as a TK. My local GML already said my photos are good, so I hope to hear more in the next few days. BTW, are the handguards removable after glueing with CA? I actually want to move them to nomex gloves after approval, for more comfortable trooping

Thanks! Fun fact, I already have rubber handguards and glued them Saturday evening. But Sunday morning I picked them up and the guards just fell off. Turns out E6000 doesn't work on rubber, so I quickly trimmed the handguards Paul supplied and gave them elastics so I could at least do the shoot later that afternoon. Rubber cement is on my to do list for this week

Woot! Final build update incoming! I installed the lenses using sugru. Didn't go as well as I would have liked. The lenses are a very thin platic, I think I'll look for somewhat thicker plastic in the future to redo them. I finished the shins: Final snaps glued and drying: And of course some white paint for the last details: This afternoon I finally put it all on for the first time, and took approval photo's (I won't post all of them here)! And this is how I feel right now! I want to thank everybody who gave me advice in this thread, especially Paul, without whom I would never I have this magnificent armour! Thanks a lot guys! I hope to be able to greet you guys soon as a fellow TK!

Thanks Chris, I will! I did some work again these past days. I finished painting the helmet: The tube stripes weren't applied neatly, so I will have to clean them up later with a toothpick. Next time, paint it white first to fill all the bubbles and apply the blue as a second layer! Handpainted FTW! Aw yeah, only the lenses and a thorough clean up left And I applied some helmet pads. For a snug fit I need to lose the top pad, but I had already applied the velcro. Ah well... Did some work on the rest of the armor too. Attached the holster to the belt. Done with Chicago screws, so it's detachable. Did some work on the shin hooks. The black thread I used might not be entirely accurate, but I like the contrast. Finished painting the abplate: I also started work attaching the snap plates everywhere. It's coming along, I hope to be finished this Saturday or Sunday .

I will, I just added the grey yesterday evening. I will do a second grey coat today and then the stripes tomorrow
