Is it possible to have more than one expensive, time consuming hobby?
bobio replied to troopertom's topic in Off Topic
How about 2 kids also with the same hobby I am not only working on my own TK armor but helping my son with his Scout armor and my daughter with her Sabine armor By helping, that means helping build and PAY for their armor It is awesome though being able to share this hobby with them! -
Not sure if this has been posted before but saw it today and thought I would share. Rumors are hinting that Daniel Craig may play a Stormtrooper in TFA. http://comicbook.com/2015/05/15/daniel-craig-is-reportedly-playing-a-stormtrooper-in-star-wars-t/

Ahh, good to know. Trying to plan as much of my build as I can before the armor gets here. Thanks and sorry to hijack your thread Stig

Just curious, could you get the same look with White E6000?

I started on a fitness plan about a month ago at a weight of 205lbs. My doctor recommended I get down to 180 due to my blood pressure. I have actually found it more motivating trying to get my weight down for my first TK build I am using an app called MyFitnessPal to monitor my diet and exercise. It has been great, for me it has made dieting much easier.... https://www.myfitnesspal.com/ I will be ordering my armor [TM] the end of this month and I am thinking it should arrive end of June or early July. My goal is to get as close to 180 lbs as I can before I start my first build. I have about two months to lose 15 lbs. This was taken earlier this year at SC Comicon....

Are you ever too old to Troop?
bobio replied to DroidHunter's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
I sure hope not, will be 52 this year and my son and I are about to begin this adventure together... He started talking about wanting to build Scout Trooper armor last year. He did all his own research and decided on Studio Creations armor. We got him the helmet for Christmas. He is piecing the rest of the soft parts and will likely get the rest of the hard armor for Christmas this year. My armor fund is about 80% there, hope to order my ANH TK Stunt armor from TM in a month or so. My son is not really into sports or tinkering with cars so I jumped at the chance to do this with him. Hope to start our build thread here by June. The more we talk about it, the more I find myself feeling like a kid again Got my Hyperfirm E-11 recently and it is hard to resist walking around with it making "pew pew pew" noises -
Sent a message to them through Facebook. It is sorted out now...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone know how to contact an administrator over at the Blaster Builders Forums? http://www.imperial-fleet.com/index.php Tried to register there but never received the activation email so I cannot activate my account or log in there. I may be missing it but I see no way to contact an admin unless you are logged in Thanks in advance! Bob

From the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment Facebook page... --------------------

Gotta read the fine print on that pricing It goes up to $1600 after Celebration. After May 16, 2015 it states pricing subject to change so there is no telling what it will go to then...

Is this any armor good(yes I'm a newbie)
bobio replied to rc10tc's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Take it from another newbie, take a look at the Getting Started section! There is a wealth of information there and should keep you busy for days reading The vetted armorer list is also there which will give you an idea where to look. -
Awesome builds and a GREAT story. Very similar to my own. My son just turned 16 and he just recently started piecing together his Biker Scout armor. We hope to be well into our dual builds over the summer...

Armor for the Vertically Challenged....
bobio replied to bobio's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I am just trying to think ahead and make sure I am starting with armor that "for me" might not need as much trimming. I think what got me thinking about this is a thread the other day where Paul (troopermaster) mentioned the "desired 5'10" height" when talking about trimming armor. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30655-paul-mc-2mm-tm-armour-build-pictures/?p=393362 I have noticed in build and submission threads how the gaps tend to close up for guys my size. It is just the OCD in me but I want to try and avoid as much of that as I can I am fairly certain I am going with TM armor, might just pay off for me to have Paul trim for height as he mentions in the thread above... -
Hey all, I have been reading build thread after build thread trying to learn as much as I can the past few weeks. I know I am going with TK ANH Hero armor. I keep coming back to TM armor but I have a question. In the majority of the threads I have found regarding fitment, most seem to be focused on which vendor's armor works best for taller or larger troopers. I have not seen much on which armor might be best to start out with for those of us who are a bit vertically challenged (5'8.5"). Any advice here would be greatly appreciated! Bob

Awesome, looks GREAT! Looking at TM ANH Hero for my first build. Looking at builds like yours keeps me going until I get to the point where I can order my armor
