Hi, the cuts at the rear of your thighs are absolutely no problem. They are definitely screen accurate. All the other points are no problem as well if you perform them as marked. If you cut the forearms make sure the outer side is not coming too high. Most troopers cut the lower side instead. For Centurion the return edges have to be removed anyway and the number of squares is not defined.
Hi Robert, nice clean build! Looking very good!
-
I saw an AP helmet lately with a two piece cap.
Here a comparison between the 4 different helmets:
I was looking after the ears which are closer to the AP helmets and the edges under the eyes too.
The grey part over the brow trim is closer to the RT-Mod.
Perhaps the ears of the RT helmet are trimmed more then the others. Then the RT is the right helmet.

Hello and welcome to the boards!

The helmet in my link has a two pieces cap too and is an AP.
The RT-Mod has a two pieces cap but is looking a little bit different than the one Joe posted: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39121-tk42542-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-rt-mod/

Hi Joe, thanks to the additional pics I'm sure you have an AP helmet.
Here you can see a complete armor: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38756-tk-10204-requesting-anh-stunt-eib-status-ap638/
Cheers mate

It's absolutely ok to trim the excess at the top and by the way the method I would choose. A difference at the lower end of the things is not looking good.

Hi,
another fine build. Looking very good!
But I'm afraid for EIB you have to remove the decal from the left shoulder bell.
Is there a special reason why you don't want to go all the way to Level 3?
There is not too much additional work to do.
All the best!

Hello Johann, welcome to the FISD. The decision to build a Stormtrooper is absolutely right.
In the "Getting Started" Section you will find this thread:" http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12693-which-armour-is-better-for-a-bigger-trooper-read-here/ " This might help you to find an armor that will fit you well.
I tend to say you have a MTK helmet. But to be 100% sure some additional pics would help a lot.I've seen we have several different kinds of Stormtrooper helmets, do you see which kind mine is from the picture? I do have more pics of it
All the best!

Hello Pawel,
Your armor is looking good but there is one thing that must be done: Your Blaster has no D-Ring and you need one for EIB.

Besides I have some other suggestions just to improve the overall look. 1st: I would lower the things a little bit to even the black gaps of your legs. The next thing are your shoulder Bells. They are a little far away from your shoulder bridges. Perhaps you can shorten the elastic to the shoulder bridges or the elastic around the biceps.

All the best!
Hi Sarah, good work with your armor. It's looking great!
The only thing I just noticed at the picture of your back is that the right shoulder bridge is mounted a bit higher then the left.

All the best
I think I caused some misunderstanding. Sorry my bad. It seems I phrased my answer the wrong way. That's a good method mate. But, I don't get why anyone would need / want both sides to be functional.
Marc
When I said I installed both parts of the snaps inside the armor I meant these parts:
And I installed them like this:
The material that you hammer down when you install the snap the way it is ment to, is helping to hold the snap in place when you bend down the ends of the split rivet.
I hope you understand what I mean... at this moment it feels like I'm reaching the limits of my english skills.

I'm having a bit of a mare with the kidney and ab brass rivets. I can't seem to get the poppers to connect because of the rivets sticking up over the poppers. I've tried to adjust 2 and they've snapped. How do I get around this??
Hi Chapaaz,
I think your split rivets are still too long. I think if you cut them some more befor you install them it would be easier to close them inside the snaps.
Check Post #34 of my build to see how much I shortened the split rivets. Because it is hard to see: I installed both parts of the Snap inside the Armor. This gave me more material inside the snap to hold the split rivet.
Best regards
Christian

Great! I will definitely follow this build. I already have some parts for the pack here but no time to start my build! Good for me. Now I can learn much more!

Hi Michael,
I would recommend E6000. In my opinion it is the perfect glue for the armor. It is strong as hell and at the other side it is easy to take apart the pieces and remove the glue. Very handy if corrections or repairs are needed.
