  1. Where did you purchase this armor?
  2. I saw those, Scott, thanks... I wish he would have shown the build or at least the materials he used. I have started, but am doing a "mash-up" of several different builds/designs I have found online, trying to get as accurate as I can, (damned OCD, LOL). Should start the build thread after the holidays.
  3. <-------Opens mouth, inserts foot. LOL
  4. Enhorabuena, Lucho! Gran trabajo en esa armadura!
  5. Alas, Imperial officers on a small troop are a lot like police officers... never really around when you need them..
  6. I am envious as hell, Richard. You should be proud of a job well done, sir! If I might make a suggestion... instead of painting those edges on the top, you could always go to an auto supply store and pick up some white pin striping tape to cover those.
  7. Way to go, Steve!!! I see a Centurion badge in your near future!
  8. "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper"? .... Nope, this is 100% concentrated firepower.
  9. I think that does it... Now I am going to have to order a FO TK kit when they are available, just to get to carry all the cool weapons and accessories! Looks like they have some VERY talented folks in England... great job!
  10. E-6000... Is there anything it can't do??? (Except maybe fill out complicated insurance forms)..
  11. Awesome job, Chris, and thanks for sharing these! I am currently helping someone build a DD, and like Carl I am sure he would LOVE to have one of those sweet front sight housings.... however.. our general knowledge of computers/3D printers collectively would fit on a postage stamp. If you or someone here across the pond could make one, I am MORE than happy to purchase it. I'll be following this thread for sure!
  12. Some use CA (super) glue, but I would suggest E-6000, Scott. The reason is that if you ever need to remove it, you can. Whichever method you choose, be sure to scuff up the ABS in the area you are going to attach it to and then clean and dry it thoroughly for maximum adhesion.
  13. The snaps are actually set in the nylon via snap setting tools and a hammer. A good tutorial can be found here: -------------- The video shows them being set in leather, but the method works for nylon.
  14. GREAT job on the changes, soon to be Centurion! If I could add something, albeit tiny, I would reduce the number of loops in the coil that connects your Hengstler counter to the power cylinders to four. None of the E-11s had these in the films, but they were used on the promotional photos. Are they necessary? No. Are they cool looking? Absolutely! (I have them on mine). Just a suggestion.
  15. Dang blasted biker scouts and their mobility...
  16. To paraphrase David Mamet, "Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill"...
  17. Ever been completely suited up, only to drop your glove or forget to pick up your bucket bag or shoes, and had to bend into an unnatural position to pick it up? I picked up one of these gizmos at Harbor Freight this weekend... it folds in half and stores nicely in my bin. Also good for annoying small pets.
  18. Drumroll please.......
  19. Great photos and info., Jeff!
  20. Or at least a cart-wheel!
  21. Outstanding job on this build, Steve, especially the paint work! Next up, Centurion!
  22. Happy to oblige, Adam. For my thigh strapping system, I use the one made by Ty (Pencap510), located here:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29991-thigh-garter-system/ It does use Velcro, but is infinitely adjustable as needed and holds fast even on an 8 hour troop!
  23. Looks like all your hard work is going to be well worth it, Richard, can't wait to see the finished product!
  24. Just a quick update to let everyone know that I should have the design for these available in the next day or so, and will post it when it is ready. The run would be limited to 50, and the cost may be about 8 dollars each plus shipping. I would be selling these for the exact cost of the coin itself, but I will have to pay for them upfront and don't want to be stuck with a ton of unwanted ones. If anyone else is interested please let me know as soon as possible so that we can make this happen! Thanks!
  25. Yes, certain areas will need to have a return edge on them and some will need it removed, either for comfort or requirements. Normally the areas that them added are ones that have had to be trimmed excessively, for example if your kidney plate was way too high, and it must have a return edge so you would need to add one back. I suggest trimming them off wherever allowed for comfort. For perfect examples of what is allowed, you should check out some of the EIB and Centurion applications in the Advanced Tactics section. Hopefully you will be aiming for these levels of accuracy (not as difficult as you would think) and can incorporate the needed requirements into your build.
