  1. If you're willing to part with them for around that much, that's about the best deal I think I've heard. That 90$ price was with shipping and all that though, so depending on how much you're looking for I might still go with those. I'll PM you in a little while so we can talk it over.
  2. I'm a 7.5 in US men's sizes. I guess that's a 40 in European sizes. And with shipping and all that, TKboots come out to around 90$ where I live.
  3. I have no idea how you guys managed that. The TKboots site is selling them for 70$ a pair. Unless there's something that I'm missing, that seems like the only way to go.
  4. I'm willing to take as long as it needs. I have time, but no money.
  5. I don't know about other people, but I'm looking for cheap boots because I'm a college student who makes minimum wage. I'd rather suffer from blisters for now and have the money to complete my armor than have incomplete armor and really excellent boots. Prior drop 150-200$ on boots without any problem, but I'm kind of at the point at which I need to take as many shortcuts and cheap options as possible.
  6. Again, if I were willing to spend that much money on boots I would just order some TK boots. They're less work and more or less universally suggested. The point is to buy cheap boots. So again, what exactly is wrong with the shape?
  7. I'd seen those, but if I were going to spend that much on boots I'd just but TK boots. I'm still confused as to what's wrong with the shape.
  8. How are they the wrong shape? And I know that the stitching is wrong on the sides, but that stuff can actually all be removed with a stitch remover. There are a couple of seams near the front, but nothing on the actual front. There's only one u-shaped elastic band, but another can be added pretty easily. I don't know what you mean in reference to the shape, but the other issues can be fixed with minor modifications.
  9. I found some boots on an excellent sale, but I don't know if they'll work. Any feedback on these? ----------
  10. Oh, I was wondering if this particular feature would be accurate regardless of what version of the TK armor it appears in. Like ANH hero/stunt, ESB, ROTJ, etc.
  11. Interesting. Is that standard throughout all TKs?
  12. Thank you, I'd completely missed that. I've been looking so much at the unit-specific CRLs that I totally ignored the general CRL. The swoop, then, is just a widening at the bottom of the middle line with a slight point to one side or the other?
  13. I have a couple of questions about the shoulder bells. First: There is a "swoop" mentioned in the 501st crl for the ANH hero armor, but I have no ieda what the "swoop" is, and I have been unable to find any helpful information elsewhere, so I thought I'd ask here. Second: I have heard of handplates being made of latex (I assume that this is to allow for more complete hand movement), but I have noticed a severe limitation of the range of motion for the arms in nearly all images of troopers that I've seen. It seems to me that most troopers can't raise their arms above shoulder-height when moving their arms directly out from the sides to end in a T-like position. As this seems to be the case with most if not all troopers, I found myself wondering if one could cast the shoulder bells and make them out of latex to allow for a greater range of motion. It might seem like a silly idea to most of you, but I'm completely new to this and thought I'd ask rather than stay quiet about it. Do any of you know anything about attempts to make latex shoulder bells? Is that even up to 501st standards? I couldn't find any specific material requirements, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any. Let me know what you guys know. Thanks!
