  2. I discovered this small box on the porch today. Very unexpected as I figured I'd see it next week. Happy Friday! Any way, I wanted something to mess with while I wait for armor so here's my MTK bucket build. Box shot and parts... Sent from my ComLink
  3. Man, I hope not. Classic Stormtroopers are.... well, classic.
  4. If you apply with out a blaster, does the holster stay on the belt or remove it?
  5. I think this kit comes with predrilled holes and screws. Also following. I may need to order this kit next as I'm not completely jazzed with my doopy build.
  6. some updates... - ordered Evilboy's scope rail to finish off my E11 - purchased many snaps, snap tools and the last bit of elastic - ordered 100 pack of magnets for assembly! - need to order a few more rivets from Echo (or find them somewhere) - still havent gone shopping for an undersuit - ordered an extra bucket from MTK The extra bucket will arrive before the armor, so I'll get my feet wet building that. I'm hoping that when the armor arrives, I'll have EVERYthing on hand to power through it.
  7. I have Jim's (TK6294) from my iComm order. I could make a quick $5 and throw it up on ePay! JK
  8. Saw this on Tumblr (or Instagram, I forget) Sent from my ComLink
  9. dude, you need to update your build....
  10. This is great info! Emailed him this morning about a bucket...
  11. Seems legit. MTK isn't on the "vetted seller list" but there are a few builds of MTK on FISD. However, they haven't been on ePay very long with only 4 feedback.
  12. Here's a great build of the "3-piece" helmet. Even offers a solution to eliminate the seam. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26137-wip-ne-helmet-build/
  13. So it doesn't seem that I'll be able to remove the "wonky" parts to make them fit better without possibly creating an even more non repairable issue. I guess I could hack off the magazine and completely Dremel out the mag well again and buy a new magazine. Not sure what to do about the end cap. In other news, my scope rail was a fail, so I'll be ordering one from Evilboy tomorrow.
  14. Looks great! Where did the stand come from?
  15. Thanks for the feedback Gaz. There are actually several over weathered spots and things that got glued together "a little off". Unfortunately I used a super glue type adhesive since I wanted it to be sturdy and now I'm not sure I can remove/fix those things. I may just have to use it as is for now and get another kit or a hyperfirm later.
  16. One coat of primer, 2 coats of flat black, one coat of hammered black, one coat of gloss black in the handle.
  17. I did a flat black undercoat with a light coat of hammered on top only for what would have been part of the original firearm. Be sure to mask off the t-tracks as they were only flat black plastic and the grip which was a shiny plastic. also do a flat clear coat over the hammered to bring some of the shine down.
  18. More progress on the paint. I think it's really starting to look the part! Still need to build the scope rail and work out the bolt/spring combo for inside the tube. Any feedback welcome (good or bad) Thanks all!
  19. Thanks for the feedback Chris! Everything is sprayed so far. I thought that image showed a good contrast between what would have been a real metal gun and the plastic t-tracks added onto the prop. I weathered more parts last night and will start some final assembly and finish painting over the weekend.
  20. ok, jumped in... hows this look?
  21. so, all the all the parts are painted either flat black or hammered black. I'm now at the stage of "weathering" everything then final assembly. I'm just a little nervous about trying to do the weathering dry brush technique.
  22. After your question regarding the difference in a TK and a TD, I'm seeing more differences than just dirt and accessories. You'll need to look into that topic more as I've mostly been researching TK builds. Good luck!
  23. Following this topic as I've put a deposit on the same kit.
  24. 1 - left has 11 dimples, right has 12 (not sure about the inner) 2 - arm strips are 15 mm wide, legs are 20 mm. I believe the main difference in TK and TD is the dirt and accessories. 3 - round corners so they don't stab you or snag 4 - I'd bolt it together util you're 100% happy w they way its built. Then maybe glue it. this is a great build thread... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/10434-pandatroopers-am-build-threadam/
