E-11 scope decals
fuumantroop replied to fuumantroop's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Thanks! Trying to round off the lens was sarcastically fun! Lol. When i dremmeled the outer plastic of the magnifying glass I went too deep on one side, so I had to hope and pray I could get it decently round lol. Gotta run to radioshack tomorrow to see if i can find a lens for the front of the scope. Now just gotta figure out how I want to mount the lens on the back. I'd like to make it to where I can switch out decals from time to time, just cant get my head around it yet -

The decal chosen My E-11 scope lens made from a small magnifying glass that i dremeled to size 2 different sized decals printed on 5x7 HP advanced photo paper. One decal is 1.1" and the other is 1" Test fit with the 1.1" decal under my lens... Perfect fit! -
E-11 scope decals

Thanks man but I think I figured it out. Just finally said heck with it and tried resizing the image in Microsoft word...imported the image, right clicked it, then clicked resize...unlike paint, word gives you the option to resize images in inches. So after test printing and fiddling around, i found the size of 1.1" to be perfect for my scope. So, I went ahead and printed it out on the free photo paper i received when I bought my new ink cartridges. Did a test fit using only the lens I dremeled to size, and it fits perfectly! Ill post pictures of it in a sec -

My Hasbro ANH E11 Blaster Build... Please don't let me screw it up!
fuumantroop replied to Zarlon's topic in ANH BlasTech E11
Ditto from above. I want a brighter LED in mine but dont know what led or resistor to get. Perhaps circle what was replaced and take close ups? I thought about getting more accurate t tracks but ive decided since this wont do for centurion anyways, to just use the pieces i have from the DD kit and make it the best that I can -

Nice! I figured that if i at least get the gray/silver metallic paint and primer combo, it will be fine if all im doing is covering that up with the flat black anyways. I made some good progress today with my blaster! Got the scope covers off yesterday, took it apart today, dremeled the trigger a bit(not 100% screen accurate but its just a hasbro anyways), dremeled the orange tip, dremeled the nozzle, and dremeled the front of the scope...i used your build mainly as a reference Thanks lol! -

Nervous About Armor
fuumantroop replied to 71CobraTrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Will do! Its kinda difficult to scale right now since AM has altered their armor to be more accurate. After watching pandatroopers build, I have every bit of confidence that I can make the AM armor work for me. Also, they are very good at responding to questions and have exceeded my expectations on customer service. I am on a budget, and do not want to wait 7 months before even receiving my armor. My theory is this, get this armor, make it work for me, and troop the heck out of it. If later on down the road I would like to go for a more expensive armor, I always have the option of selling my AM armor for close to what I paid for it(and sometimes more, depending on what kind of mods are made). Personally, I still find myself researching, but am confident in my armor selection. I almost have everything I need, minus only a few things, to complete my TK(aside from the armor which I will hopefully be receiving before the end of the month). My personal goal is to build ANH stunt TK, and later add on to make it interchangeable as ANH Tk and a HWT, or maybe just go TD. I have set a goal of having my armor completed and submitted no later than October 1st(I really want to be able to trick or treat with my 5 year old that is as obsessed with Star Wars as I am)....but that is just me. Its all personal preference. Everyone has their way of doing things basically. I started by collecting my undersuit, snaps, elastic, snap plates, neck seal, holster, e-11, boots, gloves, cancas belt e 6000, decals, foam padding, rivets, rivet gun, etc. before my armor gets here. For sizing, its probably best to have at least your undersuit, neck seal, gloves, and boots before your armor arrives. That way when it does, you will have a more accurate measurement for your armor. Wow i typed a lot! Don't get me wrong, I am no expert, but I have come a long way in a short amount of time. Hope this helps! -
Nervous About Armor
fuumantroop replied to 71CobraTrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
You just have to do what you think is best for you. If it turns out you don't like it, you can always resell it at about the same price you paid for it, sometimes more and sometimes a bit less. I too have AM armor on the way and am just about done getting the rest of what I need for the build and for the ANH stunt TK. Your going to want at least your undersuit, neck seal, and boots before you begin trimming the armor to size for more accurate fittings. Your always going to find people who will try to talk you out of each armor, but it all comes down to YOU and your wants. -
