  1. Thanks Glenn!
  2. As of late last night, I'm officially approved as First Order TK! Woo hoo!
  3. Congrats Peter! Hoping to join you soon...
  4. Boo yah! If I don't get approved, please ignore my last 5 months of trooping pics...
  5. Thanks buddy. I think we should have photos done today, but I'll let you know if we're missing something! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  6. It's up there now! Just being finalized. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  7. You can see it above the thighs so there has to be one. It's minimal though. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks Michael!
  9. I fixed a photo credit on the Thermal Detonator. It should be David S. White for #2 and Peter Nuthall for #1 and #3. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31034-the-force-awakens-stormtrooper-crl/page-10#entry420624
  10. Are we starting food fights to sort this stuff out now?
  11. So I called them "Think boxes" because when I was building them, I said to myself "I think I'm doing this wrong." Actually, it was probably supposed to say "thin", I'm guessing.
  12. This CRL entry has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team. Costumes of this type must be submitted to the LMO team via the GML forum at 501st.com for approval. Eric, does this mean we're cleared to submit pics for approval now?
  13. Awesome! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  14. I posted on the RPF and I'll post here as well. This is amazing! I'm excited to order one and try it out!
  15. It was just velcro'd. I didn't like it because it was tough to keep it close together and also showed a much bigger gap. And yes, the square end of the greeblie is glued while the long end is snapped. Does that makes sense?
  16. I use an old Memorex wireless setup with my classic TK and I love it! That way my mic is placed with velcro and always stays right where I want it and nothing is attached to my face.
  17. You can also go to Amazon and buy the dark green welder's shield for less than $10 and cut it to your liking. I made a couple set of lenses for $8 that way.
  18. Ok, I added photo credits as well as a clarification on the OT boots. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31034-the-force-awakens-stormtrooper-crl/page-10#entry420624
  19. Hey Krista! I honestly don't know about the gloves myself. It seems that the pads and stitching would be more accurate, but it also seems that we often don't get that detailed on the CRL. I'll leave it to the more experienced folks (aka Eric and Brian) to figure that out because I'm really not sure. Good point on the boot designation! As for the gaskets, I think maybe we shouldn't get into the detail level of saying whether you can tell they are sewn since the point is whether they retain the look. I would think the GMLs can decide that because some sewed gaskets look much more accurate than others.
  20. This all looks great! Some of these newer build threads are practically an instruction book for the armor. Awesome.
  21. Looking great Tony! I'm proud (and a bit envious) of all of you guys doing a really thorough job and documenting it so well. Great work!
  22. Ok, I've added the little bit about "no hair or skin" on the neck seal area just to make sure it doesn't get lost. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31034-the-force-awakens-stormtrooper-crl/page-10#entry420624
  23. Yeah, Ray, it's pretty cool. One problem I have is my new giant Note 5 phone doesn't fit in the pouch at all so I'm trying to think of a way to store that one, but having a functional pouch that doesn't slouch is nice! I mounted my Aker in my chest and it works pretty well. It would be cool to put it in a pouch too, but I suspect the sound coming from there would feel "off".
  24. I think there's a valid point there, but I'm not sure about requiring a specific solution unless we knew they all wore them for the movie. Maybe at least adding that no hair or skin should be visible around the neck area and then for those for whom the neck seal / helmet fit doesn't cover it, then a balaclava is in order.
  25. And on an unrelated note - I continue to find reasons to despise rubber gaskets. This is from our 112 degree troop making a video for the Central Arizona College police. I felt like a bratwurst wrapped in bacon smoldering on the grill.
