Thanks guys, will continue my search for appropriate width, as i would like to keep it as close to canon as possible. Will try Masters ( known in the USA as Lowes) same chain, they may have what I need.
Did find an aluminum manufacturer, but he would only sell in length of 4 meters, I think that's about 12 foot of alloy strip.
Cheers

I have a question.
I see on the threads that the Thermal det belt clips width is approx 1" wide.
I can only find aluminum strips in 20mm wide, that are of a thickness of 1.6mm, easy enough to bend into shape. Is this approvable for Centurion???
The 25mm width = 1" is 3mm thick and virtually impossible to get a tight bend in for the belt hook section. The only other 1" width i could find is only 1mm thick and too flimsy to hold shape well.
Thanks in advance for any help with this

Shocking that they would license such an inaccurate bucket as that, and sucker in the poor unsuspecting punter.

Yes that's a good call, red and gold or you could be original and go Blue and Gold like your country flag

Hi Tiffany, have you signed on for the 501st Redbacks Garrison in Brisbane? , if not you should, it's going to make life a little easier as there is plenty of local help.
I am like you, have started my journey and am still deciding on which armour to go with. Yes it is daunting at times but welcome to the friendliest most helpfull hobby in the Universe

Hi all
I am in the closing stages of making my first TK armour ANH Stunt purchase and am overwhelmed by the amount of info, hence my question.
I am a 5'9" tall but weigh only 149lb.
I intend to build to Centurion straight up
I am looking at the following
ATA but the waiting list is 7 months long (I could be dead by then) Lol, but I hope not.
RT-Mod
MTK
AP
AM, think i need to buy back plate as not accurate for centurion
When reading the armour guide on FISD it seems that some of the posted info is out of date so i would appreciate any sizing help.
I do see that some armour is designed with the larger trooper in mind, my height seems ok but excessive trimming for my slim build could lead to lets say, interesting looking armour
Thanks in advance for any input

Thank you greatly appreciated

Hi all
What is it about the AM armour back plate that makes it unsatisfactory for centurion level. i know someone will say accuracy, but I would like some specifics.
Reason I am asking is am in the final stages of deciding on which armour to buy, and intend to build to Centurion level straight up.
obviously it would be good to not have to replace major pieces of armour to attain this level.
I"m a noob so apologies in advance.

Sorry to ask this question so late in your post, but when drilling out the holes in the barrel, did you use a drill press or just do it hand held?
This is an awesome build by the way super impressed.

Thanks SL, will give it a try, it's cheap enough, might buy a strip to play around with first as my armour hasn't arrived yet
