  1. We all felt daunted by the prospect of building armour. There are plenty of people here in FISD that can guide you every step of the way. One line I here repeated often in these forums is, "most mistakes are fixable", so, in saying that, you would be better off, doing your research and buying armour from a vetted maker here on FISD. It seems the ebay guy is not forth coming with answers to your questions. This rings alarm bells to me.

If you are going to do it, do it the right way and avoid sellers on evil bay .

  2. Hi F1Guy

AP is in Canada, he ships to his business partner in the US and then he in turn ships out from there. Apparently international shipping direct from Canada is far more expensive to ship direct, so he uses Canada-US-to where ever to save on costs.

I am in Australia and have been waiting about 4 weeks so far for a shipping notice from USPS.

    Hope this helps

  3. Gathering all the parts is half the fun, and I can't believe that you are not more excited than your kids, that just doesn't happen, I'm sure Lol.

Enjoy the build, I won't be too far behind you, should have my armour shipping in a week or so.

  4. The Gazmosis cast mag is awesome and as close as you will get to having the real McCoy . Yes you will need to cut a bit off the length, yes you will need to Dremel with great caution the inside of the magazine receiver but it is 1000% worth it for the end result. The best upgrade I did to my full resin Doopy, Gaz if you are out there, I'm still loving it.

  5. Welcome F1guy, definitely only buy armour from a vetted maker. Things to bear in mind when making the all important decision.

Some armours are suited to the larger Trooper and others more so to the original Trooper sizes from the movies. Most can be trimmed to fit anyone within reason, but the less trimming or shimming you need to do, the better.

    Enjoy the experience
