I don't believe it does. Plenty of templates available here on FISD, depending on what size pipe you end up with
-
Wow!
I have just joined the FISD and have been hankering for a blaster for ages - I have basic model building skills and thought if anywhere, here would be a good place to find out exactly what was needed. Just read through this entire build and I am kekking ma pants! I am totally psyched to get a blaster of my very own but unsure if my build skills will be up to it. Truly inspirational stuff and I hope you wont mind if I use a lot (nearly all of this) as reference. The detailing is UNREAL!!
Anyway just wanted to say what a pleasure it was reading this (and finding out that all you guys are really helpful - not quite so scared now . . . ) and I will have to post my build up once I get all the parts together!
Cheers again,
Alan
Glad you could get something out my build Alan. That's half the reason we do this - to share and help others. Just remember, the great thing with these kits, that anything can be tried and almost any mistakes can be fix with a bit of glue or filler. Just have a go and have fun!
Ian's legend is lengendary.
LOL. famous/infamous. Legendary/inlegendary?
My legendary status is quickly diminishing with all these superb build happening these days.
-
I saw that in a RPF thread. Looks fantastic. Would love to hear and see a build/review.
-
Looks nice and neat. Magnets are strong enough not to bump off while trooping or holstering the blaster?
-
This is the same hengstler counter mod you and I purchased from Blue Snaggletooth. I included it with the extra my E-11 kit that I sold to Preston here. Sorry I didn't chime in earlier. For some reason my notifications stopped working for this thread. Preston is why I had asked if you had ever come up with anything creative or functional at least for this mod.

Gotcha! Will be interesting to see what Preston comes up with. I really should look at amending mine. I'm sure it's just a matter of hollowing out more of the resin counter. Just too many other projects on at the moment, never making it back to the E-11

I apologise if you thought I was hijacking your thread, that was not my intention. I am new to prop building and forums of this nature and simply wanted to convey that I am slowly trying to build a project like this and was trying to do the same thing others like yourself have done. I will no longer make a post on your thread and hope that you accept my apology. Best wishes Colin Bird.

No worries. As Carl (Dougal) says, certainly didn't want to scare you off - hence why I made sure I answered your question
Feel free to post on anybody's thread. That's what forums and discussions are all about. Just keep it in relation to their build - comments/criticism/questions. We love build threads here, so would encourage you to start one of your own. Either just to show off and brag about your skills or ask for help when you need it.
Good luck with your build!

Not sure why Bird is commenting with his stuff on my thread, lol.. but no, not related. The counter came with the kit I bought from a garrison buddy.
LOL!
Ahh, the hollowing out in the pic above is the mag housing. The counter was complete as is? Gotcha.
-
He is not my father lol.
I am still nut 100 % sure how big will put the counter into the resin part.

You should start a new thread of your own, or ask questions in the general section. Please don't hijack other members threads.
However to answer your question, check out either ThrawnsGuard build or Twnbrother (sorry guys, can't remember which one of you did it). Or wait a week or so for me to unveil how I did mine. Or maybe Preston will reveal more on his.

Ok, so now I'm thinking Prescott and Colinstevenbird are the same person - or father/son??
Is that the D94 counter you put in there? I've just completed the very same mod
-
Good start. Getting the holes lined up, even using a template, is the first challenge. Great job

This is mine. Just scrap perspex manually cut with a jigsaw and dremel:

And to put it into pictures:

Hey Brandon. Unfortunately you'll need to remove your Counter and Cylinders from the Blaster and add a D-ring for ESB approval
For level two certification (if applicable):
- Folding stock (does not need to function).
- No ammo counter shall be present.
- D-ring mounted on the rear.
- Sterling based blasters have the correct M-38 or M-19 style scope.
- The M-19 scope is preferred.
- No power cylinders on the magazine housing.
I would also look at straightening up your amor - thighs, ab/kidney joins, etc to give the DO's a better look at you in all your glory.
Good luck!

E-11 Blaster<br><br><br>
For 501st approval:<br><br><br>
Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the E-11 is standard-issue for many Imperial troops. Light, compact yet powerful, the E-11 blaster is always in high demand throughout the galaxy.<br><br><br><br>
Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. <br><br><br><br>
For level two certification (if applicable):<br><br><br>
Folding stock (does not need to function).<br><br><br>
A real or replica ammo counter - based off of a Hengstler counter - shall be present.<br><br><br>
D-ring mounted on the rear.<br><br><br>
Sterling based blasters have the correct M-38 or M-19 style scope.<br><br><br>
Two power cylinders on the magazine housing.<br><br><br>
Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters shall have a total of 6 T-tracks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the magazine housing side uncovered).<br><br><br>
If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster, it is modified to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total), with a lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side.<br><br><br>
This is accomplished by covering the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, then grinding off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side, and drilling a new row of holes in its place.<br><br><br>
No ESB/ROTJ greeblies are allowed on the blaster.<br><br><br>
For level three certification (if applicable):<br><br><br>
Hasbro blasters are not allowed, even conversions.<br><br><br><br><br>
According to CRL above, conversions and hasbro blasters are not centurion approved...
Hasbro blasters are not allowed, not even converted Hasbros.
Doopy kits are not considered conversions
You don't have to look much further than the current Centurion applications. First 5 (I didn't bother looking any further) are ALL doopy kits
-
Always good to have more T-track options. Blaster looks great all over, Steve. I was going a different route with placing a cover inside the receiver where you have the electronics board, but that looks quite cool. Might borrow that idea and see how it looks in my new toy.

-
Are both permissible for Centurion?
Doopydoo is not, Hyperfirm is ...
Um, Doopy Doos must be the most widely built blaster in the detachment, most certainly Centurion accepted if built half right

This is one of many topics about photobucket.
Although, all I do is once the photo is showing in photobucket, click in the IMG code on the right hand side, come back to your Whitearmor post and rightclick/paste. It will appear as a URL address as your typing your post, but will show as a big photo when you submit the post
Oh, your link above doesn't work either

I've drilled 3 pipes now. One 3mm thick PVC Electrical conduit, One 3mm aluminium and most recently a 2mm aluminium. Although tricky to line up the holes, even with a drill press, the softer material was easy to tidy up as you went. Certainly don't envy your attempt at the steel pipe.
-
Yep. Plenty of builds, EIB and Centurion with MTK. And some newish enhancements to make the armour even better than it was when I bought it.

Thanks for posting about the troop! Looking forward to more work on the rifle when you get a chance to update.
Thanks Brian. Have made small steps, but still waiting on a couple of key items before major updates. Still tossing around a few ideas, then tossing them out the window.... Hopefully not too long
-
Post those pics when you get your helmet finished. Sounds like a super troop for a great cause.
A couple of pics here Brian
