  1. There's a link to a pdf in the first post, right above the " Sections, Navigation & Check List: " part...
  2. I ordered my Anovos TK kit in April 2015 as part of the "first wave" offering...and I just opened the box a couple of weeks ago to finally start building (life kept getting in the way). Looking at the biceps, I noticed I had two #15 parts and no #14. I figured I was toast. But, I went on Anovos' site and figured I'd try the live chat, not expecting much. I ended up very impressed: I had the #14 part in my hands exactly 1 week later. I know Anovos takes a lot of bashing, and I can't argue with that. But, in my case, they went out of their way to make it right...even though I ordered over 2 years ago. If you can get Charlie on the live chat he was very helpful.
  3. Cbullen37, make sure you do an inventory of your kit once it arrives. I was one of the really early customers in April 2015. Due to lots of life issues and no free time, I just finally started building last week...and realized I had two #15 parts and no #14. I thought I was done for...but happily, Anovos live chat agreed to send out the #14 part and I received it yesterday. For all the bashing Anovos takes, I was very, very happy that they did that. Charlie on live chat went way beyond what he had to.
  4. I have an RS kit and Anovos kit, both still as-received in the box. One of these days I'll have time to lay them out and take some proper side by side pictures. Anovos is not just a simple recast of RS. However, I agree that they may have scanned the RS, cleaned up the models and then had molds machined from that.
  5. I can't remember if I mentioned this already or not, so apologies if you've tried this. But, I never received any email from Anovos or FedEx about shipment...the only head-ups I had was by being pro-active and signing up for FedEx's Delivery Manager. Once signed up, go to Tracking->Access FedEx Delivery Manager and you can see about pending shipments to your address even without a tracking number. It takes several seconds for the page to draw, so give it a chance to refresh. Hope that helps... (By the way, I received mine on 1/23/16, and Anovos' site today still says "UNFULFILLED"! So don't go by that. It may stay as unfulfilled until the soft good also ship, that's my guess. )
  6. I have both an RS ABS kit and an ANOVOS kit, both in the untrimmed state...but I also have a wife that doesn't know that I have two kits. If I can find an "opportunity" to lay both kits out for some pictures, I will.
  7. Every Anovos helmet I've seen here, including mine, has the same smile...
  8. The funny thing is, that when sitting next to an RS ABS bucket, the Anovos looks like it's the one that is pure stark white.
  9. That is the best story (and best picture) I've seen all day. I read it before scrolling down to see the picture, and was thinking "wait, how'd you get your finger up your TK nose? Or does he mean his REAL nose?"...and then I scrolled down and LOL'd.
  10. I think my issue with them telling people to use CA is that A: the instructions have nothing at all related to how it should fit your body and the tuning required to get it to fit correctly, and B: Anovos doesn't have spare parts available. I think there's tons of people jumping into this that are going to make a mistake and wish they hadn't used CA...or, like you said, troop in it for a few hours and learn what works and what doesn't, and want to make a change. The other thing I see is that it looks like the included velcro is sticky-back style, which based on 10 minutes with the helmet is just about worthless. The head cinch strap, green lens, etc. are held on with it and it all came off...either in shipping or the first time I tried to make an adjustment. In the helmet at least, the sticky side is weaker than the velcro bite.
  11. I believe that someone requested a picture of the OII a few pages back...here it is, from my kit received 1/23. This is with the clear film still attached, although that film conforms perfectly to all of the pieces and doesn't hide the details from what I can see. Also, the "other" unboxing thread seemed to generate some confusion about shoulder bells (are they the same or 2 different ones?). My kit clearly has two different shoulder bells as it should:
  12. Yes, every piece is indeed covered with a clear plastic film. On many pieces you have to fight to actually see it...it is not obvious at first.
  13. I said before that by order date, I was in the "Jan 30 - Feb 15" plan, but had checked FedEx Delivery Manager and saw a package headed to me for delivery on Jan 26th. The update is that it showed up today! Even better was that I was home and my wife wasn't...excellent. I'll take some thickness measurements later today after my 3 year old takes a nap. My helmet is sufficiently wonky, and I can not put it on "straight ahead"...I have to twist it on just like the RS. The helmet feels a bit beefier to me than my RS, but I could be making that up as I haven't put them side by side yet. I do not like the frown corners without the "paint bleed". All of the traps/tears are decals...not sure about the blue stripes although I can see a clear rectangle encompassing all of them...looks kind of like when I did model airplane kits as a kid and they had the water transfer decals. The lens mount is a joke, as it is velcro & sticky tape...as soon as I tried to remove the velcro to adjust the lens the sticky tape gave way instead. No big deal, but not confidence inspiring. The sticky tape mounts to a piece of foam that is covering the ear screw threads. It looks like the frown mesh is held on with thick foamy two-sided tape...like thick white servo tape if anybody knows what that is. Mine was loose as well.
  14. Same here...I ordered on the April 16th, and mine has made its way from California to Arizona so far. It's scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday the 26th. They are ahead of schedule so far...I was in the "Jan 30th to Feb 15" delivery group based on my purchase date. Thanks for the tip...I signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager just to see and yup, I was able to track a package to me without any kind of confirmation number...and there it was.
  15. Did you try clicking on the "Report this item to Etsy" link? It's on the right, in the grey part underneath the pictures...basically in the "Related to this item" section. Not sure if it does anything but might be worth a try.
  16. I'd stay away from them too...long story that can be found here if you look around...
  17. You should be ashamed of yourself for making a comment like that. Seriously. It's not OK.
  18. That's completely silly. The issue with recasting is not giving credit to the originator, and passing off something inferior. It's frowned upon for very good reason. That is not what RS Props is doing. Brian Muir blessed what RS is doing, good enough for me. I can't understand why you are so against what RS does and offers, since it is without a doubt the most direct descendant of screen used armor available. If you don't like bumps and warts that's fine, but holy crap dude...
  19. That was exactly the point. I was adding some levity per Eric's suggestion...I figured it was time again. refer to page 91, post #1802.
  20. Yup, nobody knows how to be patient any more...or were never taught how. It said PRE-order for cripe's sakes, not order. Anovos isn't late yet. They seem to be moving along pretty well, at least from what they are sharing. Everybody should be getting happy that the shipping is getting close, instead of frustrated why it's not here yet. Serious question though: from what photos we've seen so far of the Anovos design, and lets say you also had an RS kit still in the box to build, which would you make a TK and which would you dirty up and convert to make a TD? Let's say the pulls are super sharp and sanitized like some photos may lead us to believe...would that steer you one way or the other? Thanks! Oh, and I don't have a joke to tell, but...balls.
  21. They are going to a Fulfillment Center. Big, large pallets/containers of bulk product go there, and that company's job will be to pick and pull components from each of the stacks to fill individual orders/boxes. They will ship from there. Hopefully Anovos has them trained and up to speed so there are no surprises at that point. It is a process all on it's own. Been there, done that.
  22. Guys, there was NO December 21st update. I simply copy&pasted a reply post from their facebook page dated December 21st. I clearly said that it was a reply from their facebook page. Again, that facebook post simply reiterated what their official terms & conditions states, which is this (a perfect copy & paste): PRE-ORDERS By pre-ordering products, the customer are authorizing ANOVOS to automatically charge your account upon submission of the order and obtain the product when it becomes available at a later date. You may cancel your pre-order (and obtain a full refund) anytime prior to the time the item or items ship, should you so desire it. See? It specifically says "full refund". If they kept $50 from you, I'd be on the phone right now...
  23. In addition, they replied to a post on their facebook page recently, saying the same thing. A copy & paste of that is below: "...We realize things fell behind schedule in 2015 and are doing our best to make it up as we move forward with faster shipping and setting more realistic expectations. Also, we understand that the wait is often very trying...we do honor full refunds up until time that a product ships. Thanks for hanging in there! December 21 at 4:52pm" Again, they said "full refund".
  24. Actually, their site right now says that for pre-orders, you can cancel and get a full refund. I'd be getting my $50 back. Their site says exactly these words (a true copy & paste, their highlighting included): PRE-ORDERS By pre-ordering products, the customer are authorizing ANOVOS to automatically charge your account upon submission of the order and obtain the product when it becomes available at a later date. You may cancel your pre-order (and obtain a full refund) anytime prior to the time the item or items ship, should you so desire it.
  25. My belief is that there are likely a few more delays to be had, as I highly doubt ANOVOS is going to do any packing/shipping "themselves". They'll be using a Product Fulfillment Center, located someplace "else" in the world, that will configure the packages and do the shipping. That Center won't know anything about stormtrooper armor...they'll only know what they've been contracted to do by Anovos, and Anovos has to have their ducks in a row in terms of all of the SOP's, pack-out combinations, materials lists, etc...and getting the order lists, etc. over to them. That means another hand-off of product, order lists, pack configuration details...effectively a whole new process to be debugged just to get stuff shipped. Anovos should be there to oversee that initial ramp, but issues still come up.
