    Personally, I would advise against doing the helmet first, especially if you are worried about messing up. (I know it's hard to resist the pull of the helmet!) I recommended familiarizing yourself with working/trimming/sanding the armour first. Get a feel for it & gain some confidence. Best of luck & have fun!

    Hunter, welcome to the madness! Congrats on your first build! It can be very overwhelming at first, but like you said, focus on one piece/section at a time. You will be fine. Have fun!

    I literally had to stop myself at one point with my TFA Armour. It WAS never-ending....

    Good plan! However, I would be surprised if you don't find a few areas to re-sand... I was borderline OCD about sanding my kits...

    Time for the "never-ending sanding" phase? ...just when you think you're done, you find another spot to sand.... Aaaaahhhh, the smell of sanded ABS, I remember it well.

    Congrats! Your first build is always so exciting; be sure to enjoy it. It is perfectly normal to be nervous... I distinctly remember feeling sick to my stomach making my first cuts.

    Agreed. For your first build, E6000 is the way to go. It gives you plenty of time to line things up straight before you clamp. If you have any over-spill, it comes off the easily without damaging the armour.

    *Gasp!* You are a braver man than I sir. The ears were my own personal hell... (I still remember it vividly) I stared with the biceps & hand guards to get myself used to "trimming".

    I just want to say that it is incredibly exciting to see all the new Anovos TK build threads popping up here! I cannot wait for the big influx of TK's this will bring to my Garrison, and to the Legion as a whole. It's an awesome time to be a Star Wars fan & the perfect time to join the 501st! I am SO excited for everyone who got a kit.

    Trust me, I was tempted on the FO HWT.... However, I have gone the Riot Control route with my First Order armour. I LOVE the baton!!!!!!

    Hmmmm, maybe I have the only approved Kylo Ren in Canada.....? (Speaking as a TFA trooper, I have stolen the spotlight from our TK's on MANY occasion. )

    Calgary is a blast! Hopefully the 501st will be in the parade again this year. Your new Badlands family will welcome you with open arms. (Glad you chose a trooper. There is NO such thing as too many Stormtroopers!!!! I have 2 myself!)

    As she is a busy, single hockey mom, she will not be on the forums. However, I will be assisting her with the build & will be keeping an eye on your build. I'll check in periodically to see how you all are doing. On that note, if you need any help or assistance, just let me know. I'd be happy to help! (I look forward to meeting you! I assume you'll be at the Calgary Expo in April?)

    HA! I think my sister is currently in this "waiting block" for AP armour. I was beginning to wonder where her armour was...I thought she'd have it by now.... I'll be sure to tell her she is not alone.
