  1. Got a few of the boys together to make a lil Western featuring scouts on a patrol that goes horribly wrong. Spoiler alert: the TKs save the day (obviously)!
  2. Amazing work. Waited with bated breath for the pre-order!
  3. The rebels helped too Not affiliated with 501st/Rebel Legion but unofficially had a lot of help from our Southern California Garrison members. I'm tired of seeing us die so easily against people like Captain Auto Aim in Rogue One or baton twirling Ip Man. This is just a teaser, but I'm gonna start pushing more content geared towards "clone wars" type stories for our Imperial enforcers. It'll be an anthology of sorts, focusing on different detachment types like scouts, sandies, shore, etc.
  4. The Mannequin Challenge is played out, but I think we add enough awesomeness to keep this alive. This edit is my version, but the longer non VFX version is hosted on my friend's youtube channel. Would be great if you could give both a look.
  5. I know! My bicep busted right before shooting
  6. Thanks! Adobe After Effects to composite all the shots of the car into the scene with me.
  7. Taking it a step further for the meme about a stormtrooper being the safest driver on the road because he would never hit anything. **Disclaimer: DON'T TRY THIS EVER** Please don't try something like this in real life. It's VFX through and through. That said, if you have any zany ideas for Star Wars based skits that would require VFX, I'd love to hear more suggestions!
  8. Well, for anyone who has bought it, do they have a discount code offered after their purchase for future products that I may use?
  9. Kalani--always got my back haha
  10. Very true. Might be too violent. Appreciate the feedback!
  11. So I do VFX stuff from time to time. If you have any ideas for some Star Wars based tricks, lemme know. I'm looking to turn this into a series: How to Put On Your Helmet (catch my stormtrooper helmet--posted that vid around here somewhere) How to Spot a Jedi (stab a jedi and he disappears. stab another guy and give the one liner "I guess he's more of a Han Solo type" Hot to Cross Traffic (stormtrooper armor is so safe it misses getting hit by cars) Stormtroopers Can't Play Russian Roulette (stormtrooper shoots himself with gun but it misses and kills the guy across from him--possibly Greedo) etc. etc. etc. And a thumbs up on the YouTube channel wouldn't hurt either
  12. Looks like a less conspicuous way of keeping the shoulder bell attached, rather than having a very noticeable black strip wrapping around the bicep.
  13. So...for us US folk, how would one obtain this reasonably priced ammo plastic box (as shipping looks to only be for Europe ). Anyone see a US alternative? Or any plans to do a group buy for US people through some third party?
  14. I've been searching online for corduroy type sweaters or long sleeved shirts. Was beginning to think they didn't exist! That does kind of look like those gaskets. They're definitely not as prominently ribbed as TFA.
  15. The Entertainment Weekly photo spread from a couple weeks ago confirmed that Rogue One stormtroopers have gaskets. Today however, we've learned that the shoretrooper and stormtrooper appear to have cloth gaskets--different from the TFA trooper and the Rogue One Death Trooper. What are your thoughts on the material being used? Although Disney could probably make their own cloth gaskets similar to what Imperial Gaskets is doing, the material looks like corduroy fabric this time around. It's not as prominent a rib as the rubber gaskets. It kind of looks like this. Wishful thinking? A quick google search pulls up nothing for black corduroy sweaters or long sleeved shirts, but is it too crazy to think that they'd just get a hundred yards of the material and make their own undersuits? Also--woot for actual vents instead of stickers and a vocoder that's not painted on!
  16. Gotta put a lot of backspin into the throw to give it that boomerang effect haha Rotoscoping's a pain--okay?
  17. I'm always looking for ways to cut time on suiting up. This is one way.
  18. Ah--take my star wars badge away. Good catch
  19. Still not approved as of yet, and that's totally my fault. Goal is to be approved by the end of 2014 >=/ ANYWHO--I don't think that prohibits me from sharing my reaction to the teaser Star Wars trailer! How did you all feel? This video pretty much sums it up for me. At first, I was bummed over the new helmet designs and armor, but seeing them in live action has taken away all my fears. These characters look great as well. I'm not a real fan of the claymore lightsaber--I'm hoping it's just exhaust, because if those are hand guards, they can still be cut off at the openings. I'm really excited about the TIE fighters too--they don't look like they've changed much. Perhaps we'll see an old TK as well for nostalgia sake. AND OMG MILLENIUM FALCON!!! But yeah--that's all shown here:
  20. Not liking the face--too exagerrated for my tastes. But then again, it's an artistic choice for a cartoon, so I'm not too distraught over it...would wonder how a realistic representation would look like though. Body armor looks okay if it's transitioning to ANH--nice mix of clone to TK.
  21. Thanks Jannick--I agree w/ the crackle. Glad we didn't have to go through listening to that when watching the original trilogy--I'll make note for future vids to dub over with the "clank" from the movies. Hi Troy, thanks for the info! I thought the Brea one was actually in "La Brea" like the tar pits--never clicked that it was so close to me haha. I'll try and make tomorrow's--at least for a couple hours.
  22. Thank you sir! Gosh, I knew the mic tip was loose but didn't think it was that noticeable. I'll get some E6000 on that stat. And yeah--sitting is a feat. I'm sure you've felt the pinch of death many a time. Glad you thought so!
