  1. Thanks Derrek. I'll check out my local hobby store.
  2. I am wondering what size/style of paint brushes would be best for painting the AP bucket & armor? Thanks. Bryan.
  3. Added tube stripes to my helmet, looking to get some building done this long weekend. Other than that not much progress has been made when you have a little one on the way and a 2.5 year old to chase around.
  4. Mic tip question. For centurion do the mic tips HAVE to be hollow or multi-piece? The reason why I am asking is because I picked up a set of tips off trooperbay and they are a solid one piece cast not the hollow ones I have seen on a lot of buckets. Here are some pics of my mic tips And here they are installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Are you supposed to glue the brow trim and neck seal on? And if so what glue? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks guys! And that was my first try at it to Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So I have finished my helmet to where I have to do final touch ups to get ready for paint and final assembly. I ran into a problem while working on the right ear, when I went to fit it on I counter sunk it a bit too much so to fix this problem I used a lock nut so the screw wouldn't fall through, I would like to get a new set of ears or even just one right but for now my fix can work till I am closer to approval. Let me know what you think, I always welcome criticism either good or bad.
  8. Finally got some time to work on my build. I've been trying to gather up the nerves to work on my ears, from what I have read they seem to be the most difficult but I want to finish my helmet so I have no choice but to do my ears. Here is my left ear done to my standards. After doing more than enough research on ears I noticed that most of the ANH stunt helmets have gaps all over the place and being that each helmet was hand assembled it seems you can find differences for each ear even it they are on the same helmet. So please let me know what you think of my ear. Thanks, Ps. The right one is currently being worked on as I type.
  9. Ouch..ya you don't have a lot of time. Ours isn't due till Oct 20 but yet my boy seems to do everything he can to get me not to work on my armor but little does he know once it's done his dad will be the coolest on the street Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Looks great so far. I hear ya with the little ones not wanting to nap..sucks when build time is cut short, I can't wait till our 2nd one is here then build time will be very minimal lol and great shirt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So today was a good day for building being the first day of summer and all. So I decided to work on my helmet as it has been bugging me since I got my kit that I have it in pieces, well today was the day it came together...minus the ears..as I am fearing doing them after reading all the posts about how difficult they are first time out. But no the less on ward building! I got all the trimming done awhile ago I just had to wait on funds to get the hardware and tools needed for assembly. Once I got my four rivets in - two either side - I tried a test fit and found out that I have a bit more sanding to do around the neck area cause even though it fits nice when I have it on it still is a tight fit getting on especially when I roughly put the 'S' neck trim on I can barely pull it over but no the less I just have more sanding to do then it's onto...the ears.... I also went with the raised brow look for my trooper not sure why just like the look of them being surprised lol. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  13. So I started working on my ears and noticed that they both aren't really the same. Now is this supposed to be or did I get wrong ears? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Love the armor all over the place..not sure if your dog is happy about it though lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This is what I have done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well I got some time to work on my armor yesterday and today I am starting to tackle the biceps. Question: do the biceps have return edges on them at the top and bottom? I have seen many pics that seem to show a return edge and some that don't, so I just want to make sure if they do or not before I go any further with them. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Great build! And congrats on the approval! Going to use your tips for my short build
  18. Another great newsletter. Going to try and use that ear tip for my build.
  19. Thanks Ericia, that helps a lot Now if my 2 year old will give me some time to put these tips to go use I'll be ok
  20. I am trying to find on FISD a thread with the correct sizes for cover strips but I am having a hard time, any help? Thanks.
  21. Finally, I got some time to work on my kit. With chasing a toddler around (another in October) and being limited to building outside as my basement is a kids zone, it's been tough finding time to build, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has these problems. But here's what I've done up till now; Fixed the teeth on my face plate along with the eyes, it me they look fine for the most part just waiting on funds to complete the rest of the helmet. Also got my calves trimmed to were I wanted to get with the Dremmel, the rest till get with scissors and sandpaper, shoulders are also roughed trimmed along with my forearms. Does anyone know of a build for short people 5'4"-5'5"? I'm having a hard time figuring out how I'm going to make this fit. Well that's all I have to report now as not much else I have up dated. 22. A Canadian armor party! Nothing better to do on a sunny day, doing the same thing myself.
  23. Thanks! I'll check it out. I was unsure how much to take out and thought they needed to have some depth to them. Back to filing I go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
