Rob only builds kits part time. It might take a bit for him to respond. How long since you emailed him? Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

TK42200 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion Status [AP] [210]
Narc replied to Stvd201's topic in Request Centurion Status
We'll talk about the ABS paste. I have to make my shims (yes, multiple, I am not screen accurate svelt) Looks great brother! -
Congratulations Dan. I haven't been on here much lately. I am going to try and change that. I'll help you if/when you need it where I am able. For new and/or improved handles might I also suggest Candyman... Or possibly... THE NOTCH....

RT-MOD ANH HERO Build

I did not specify that I was building to Centurion either (not sure if Rob even offers to do things differently) but think I will have no issue. Once I got my kit I found out about Centurion and build it butt and cover (I followed Darth Aloha's thread and saw how he cried when he realised he couldn't get Centurion with overlap). I need to play with my belt, so the kidney corner notches and fix up the shims I had to add in my (fat guy) sides. Other than that I should be clear for Centurion! Oh yeah, and pull stickers and paint my bucket. -
RT-MOD ANH HERO Build

I screwed mine up originally. I assembled with opening towards outside. I just ripped the cover strip off (didn't know about the freezer trick) and had no problem. Had you glued your sniper? I saw you were prepping. If you sanded for the sniper to glue that could be a pain . There is a left and right once you get the inners with the outers. The inners have more of a calf bulge, the outers more straight. Hopefully you'll see what I mean. I can take pics of mine if you need. I am RTMod as well. Not Centurion but very close! I need to build a blaster for EIB. I know my armour is already EIB without question. Sadly I didn't do a build thread . -
RT-MOD ANH HERO Build

That looks like you have connected two inners and two outers. RTMod is built for overlap. The notches at the tips are for overlap. Look at the bulge for your calf muscle. Also, don't forget to have the overlap at the back for your join (Velcro or whatever) so that it's opening faces inward so it cannot easily be seen by anyone looking. -
RT Mod through and through. Love it.

Thanks Tim! This is invaluable. I HAD a lot of great help from my Garrison as I had (almost to the point of annoying) volunteered with them as much as I could before getting in, which allowed me to get to know them and receive guidance. All of that being said, I didn't want to pester them with every little detail. This will be a big help to all of those future TKs!

Damn Pickles, you beat me to it! PUNCH AND PIE!

Brick and mortar store is where I bought mine (and Clamps'). Maybe Canada doesn't get the logo?

A bunch of the Canadian Garrison members were out for an after-troop-dinner. I wasn't even there... Somebody was creeping my Facebook page, pulled up my profile pic, showed the picture (seen here) across the table and a bunch of people all chimed in, in unison, NARC. THE REST IS HISTORY! And as Pickles mentioned, I am also commonly seen with Mrs Narc and the Narclings! For the record... I am NOT a member of law enforcement...

The seem up the center of the front. So they could not be used for anything more than basic approval.

My AP Build....From PEI Canada...Definitely a WIP

Mind you... Mine shin is bigger than yours... May not work the same way on yours... -

For mine, I clamped the front of the plate tight to the front of the shin, that reduces the gap, then focus on getting the sides lined up with the ridge/lip. Once I checked it on the dry run, sanded and prepped for glue, repeated the same process, glue and clamp front, once it sets, glue and clamp the sides. -

So the ab is up as high as it can go? -

Have you taped it all together so you can have it on without holding? -

White Polyester strapping glued to the armour with a male snap in the middle and then snaps on black elastic. If you tape the dickens out of everything and join it together without butt-to-kidney, kidney-to-back, does it fit right? You said you might have to shim it. So you need more height or are you eliminating too much gap? Fortunately mine fit me well with everything butted together. Threw on the straps, made the elastics short enough to hold it all tight, done. -

Ryan. Do you still need shim material? -
Great to meet face-to-face up here in the Great White North! I thought you may appreciate some progress pictures of the butt-and-cover RT-Mod! . Seeing you (and everybody else) in armour sparked my motivation. I want to be in the FanExpo TK march next year, not leading it in civis!

Been a while... Never mind that. I am working on it again. Glue issues sorted out. Shins repaired. Thighs sized, glued and cover stripped. Have to work on snaps and strapping now.
