I think I need to drop my 2 cts here as well. As mentioned in previous posts "in the past" certain costumes weren't accepted by the MEPD as the main focus was the ANH Sandtrooper. But luckily the MEPD has evolved. I have seen the question, and it's a valid one for sure, on the boards of the MEPD but making it available for both detachments isn't the solution. Personal opinions are good and need to be taken into consideration if they are for the better of the collective vs the individual. Using the TK designation on screen is probably due to the simple fact that the first trooper ever that got addressed on screen was a TK....and he wasn't at his post

I don't see a valid reason to not take this costume on board of the MEPD. It's almost 100% the same as the SE TD. The only thing that is missing at the moment is the CRL for the SE TD as we don't have found a model for the pictures. But that could get solved if someone decides to go for this BFII HWT. I'll create a post on the MEPD to discuss the costume.

@ iconoclasta_88/Juan, thanks for chiming in here and having made a post that clarifies where we come from and where we want to go with the detachment! @Daetrin/Paul, your post says it all for now. Thank you for this constructive topic and all other troops that shared their view too of course. And yes, we'll take the R1 CRL once that is completed and complement it with the specs for the characters that are coming our way. The R1 sandtrooper and the Kyber Patrol. I'm really looking forward to working together with the FISD in what seems to become a great year for both our detachments! Thanks all

@Dark CMF, I'm happy to read that it makes sense, my point of view regarding the HWT vs. Kyber trooper. And where to go from here, well I'll touch base with Daetrin about the next step and create a realistic timeline for this. Also I'll have a chat with my XO. @ Deatrin, kudos for you for running such a fine detachment of troopers that know how to conversate and to keep it neat. @ all FISD members that read this, please do pay our detachment a visit from time to time. Even though it seems slower compared to the FISD( 1 armor vs a lot can make a difference in forum traffic).\

I can understand that the Kyber Crystal trooper at first might look like a TD, but now that I have given it some extra thought it's clear to me that this speciifc trooper would probably better fit within the ranks of the FISD. The pack is more like a storage system for crystals IMO compared to the packs that the TD's have to support the life system of the trooper. The HWT trooper has a more identical pack to a TD, hence my thoughts about this trooper belonging to the MEPD.

@ukswrath, I know that we also have TD's without packs. I guess I have expressed myself a bit too plain on this one. Well dirt is an important one but my approach and point of view is that I see troopers like the HWT as a deployed trooper, not specifically designed for one planet. As TD's are deployed as well I gave it some thought and felt like the HWT could become a part of the MEPD as well, regardless decisions( badly or not) made in the past. The guy in the trooper transport, the dirty TK is as I say a TK. I do not see variations like these being added to the MEPD. @Colin1138, I don't have feathers so you're just fine... I know, the SE TD was and isn't that popular, but don't all detachments have a less favoured armor? Anyway, there has been resistance against everything that wasn't ANH for years, but I as the new DL realise that we do need to broaden our view as a detachment if we want to move forward.

I understand that these ideas might rustle some feathers but as Deatrin posted about the history of the MEPD and the 501st as a whole things might and can be interpreted in another way. The MEPD needs to keep moving forward as well, as the other detachments. Expanding our "universe" by adding new costumes to the MEPD was and is the most logical way. But first of all we need to reach some form of consencus about which costume belongs where. Plus I really see an added value of working together with the FISD, after all...we all serve one emperor And I can already tell you this, if "your" costume ends up over at the MEPD you'll receive all the honors and praise for the work that is done to get the costume up to snuff.

....eh, apparently 'm (still) not able to add pictures to my posts or to quote someone. I'll have to explain it like this, the troopers seen from the back with clear sandtrooper backpack features, those I refer to when I talk about the Jedha Sandtroopers. The trooper with the "mortar pack" is the Kyber trooper for me.

Hello my clean friends As I have been talking with your beloved DL about this, I'm really happy to see this conversation. The thing right now is....you guys already have soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much armors here whilst we only have one Seriously, I'd personally really like to see the Jedha sandtrooper, as it's being called, added to the ranks of the MEPD. It has a lot of features of the ANH sandtrooper we know and I'd like to see this version as a sandtrooper variant for Jedha or even as the predecessor for the ANH sandtrooper. Regarding the Kyber trooper, it has some HWT features but I personally like to see all variants that have backpacks join the ranks of the MEPD. .....My view might sound crazy, but sometimes things can be that simple.

Hello there troops, I'm dutchy the DL of the MEPD and your current DL has been our XO a few years ago Some of you might know me and others won't but hopefully that will change during this year. I'm a member here and posted a few things in the past but haven't been on the FISD that much lately. Looks really good....and clean. I'm hoping to chime in on various topics over here as some are very interesting for sure. Cheers!
