Hello Rita and welcome to the Legion In White! I'm the New Member Recruitment Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Squad and I'll be sending you a link so you can also sign up on our boards. We're a very busy squad with over 175 troops available this past year!

Have you seen this video?

Here is a quote from EW...
Daniel Craig WAS in armor!
"We won’t explain the full scene as to avoid major spoilers (we’ll have separate posts for Star Wars spoiler discussions) but during the course of Episode VII, Rey (Daisy Ridley) finds herself in a tight spot and attempts to convince a Stormtrooper guard to help set her free. Needless to say, her plan doesn’t play out quite as smooth as Obi-Wan Kenobi’s “These aren’t the Droids your looking for” persuasion skills from Episode IV – A New Hope.
The Stormtrooper has some threatening and humorous banter with Rey as the sequence plays out and it’s this very masked character that Daniel Craig is reportedly playing. His face is never visible beneath the helmet. Still, it’s a great footnote for Daniel Craig’s resume and a memorable cameo."

Did anyone see R2-KT? I looked but never did see her.

Surprised that no one is talking about the fact that Phasma was a complete waste of an awesome character! She walked around a little then got completely punked out by Fin. They should have replaced Ren with Phasma at the beginning of the film and let her completely kick an impolite person. Oh, and ONE scene with the Flametrooper and that's it!!!

If you're planning on joining the "Legion In White" you'll want to start here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30456-how-to-join-the-501st-legion-as-an-imperial-stormtrooper-tk/
and here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
and of course, here! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ -
You'll want to wrap the Velcro around the bottom of the clips so it doesn't come in contact with your kidney plate. Because you'll have many people (any free hands) attaching it...it's just best to cover the bottom edge just in case.

You all looked great and the Emperor sleigh is hilarious!

Thank you gentlemen for your help. Still in need of a knee ammo belt.

Thanks everyone!
Is the AM armor type from which SW movie? Also, is troopergear@gmail.com on the forums that I can private message or is it best to reach out via email?
From what I hear, he is on holiday break but should be back in a week. I'd still contact him though...probably through email.

Hey Ron and welcome here as well! Yes, the AM armor is a good choice for your frame. Also, check out Joe's list of things to get: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ as it covers all that you will need for your build.

If you're planning on using the solid strip of smoked plastic for the eyes consider leaving some gap for air flow. I've seen lots of troopers either mount it flush or trim two lenses and seal them all the way around. I've left mine as a solid strip and mounted it with the screws in the ears leaving a bit more of a beveled edge inside so the visor doesn't sit completely flush. It works well for ventilation.

Jeff, I forgot to mention that to make sure the inside trim of the bottom of the calves has no return edge and is very smooth. Especially with you painted boots, you might even want to line the inside edge with soft Velcro so your armor doesn't scratch up the ankles of your boots.

TK's...I'm calling on you for your help. About a month ago there was a post on the main boards about a "Tampa Bay Lightning" TK. (http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=88589&p=1112870&hilit=Lightning#p1112870) The team was looking for the wearer and we ended up connecting them. Come to find out the trooper (Shonna) was in the hospital with kidney failure and not doing well.
We recently invited her and her family to our armor party as her kit was in need of repairs. The squad presented her with a plaque making her an honorary ambassador of the Tampa Bay Squad. She was honored but stayed in her suit way too long and had to be helped to the car. After looking over her suit, she needs a few replacement parts. I'm hoping someone out there may have spares that they would be willing to donate to this awesome trooper.
The biggest item needed is a cod piece. Hers is ductaped on and pretty damaged. Also needed is a knee ammo belt and sniper plate. If anyone can help she would be forever grateful!- 3

I agree with Clint and Tim. If you're interested in the FO TK then read through ukswrath's build thread:
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31877-ukswraths-tfa-build-thread-tk-10116/ to see what you're in for as far as building it yourself.
With the current price tag unbuilt, I'm not sure anyone would want to pay them to build it as well.
You could probably buy a car or motorcycle for that price!!!

Thanks Joe! I was afraid of this being the case and recommended that Jason post some pics to make sure before he dug into it. He was very eager to get some work done at the AP but I wanted him to hold off to double check.
Jason, it's up to you if you'd like to build it then sell it. I agree that it will sell faster if it's build and you will also gain a ton of experience doing so. I'm more than willing to get you going if you wish to do so, otherwise I'd just repost it up for sale and go with a vetted seller.

The good thing is that there's a lot of items to get so it's not just one big hit to the wallet! While on the waiting list for the armor you still have things like the belt, boots, holster, neck seal, undersuit, blaster, gloves etc as well as supplies for your build. You can get these a few at a time so it's not so bad. Also while waiting on your big brown box, research, research, RESEARCH!!! Find some build threads you like and study up son! Good luck.

It does come with that feature as it adds a little "static" to your voice before the burst at the end. I agree with Steve that you have to have the mic right on your lips for the system to work at it's best. Also, if there is any loud noises or PA being used you might want to use the PTT cord. Otherwise the static burst will fire non stop which gets annoying.

That's what I use our Officers for! If you have free hands and no armor...you will do my bidding!!!

Jeff, your kit looked great last night! Just a few things to tweak and you'll be ready to go. Welcome to the Legion In White my brother!!!

Either work well and the 10w is fine and plenty loud.
