  1. Got another one a friend of mine has we also matched it..I'll post a clip of it. I didn't want to post full photos since it's his to disclose. Thanks folks Lee
  2. Hey, I wanted tell everyone here who pointed me in the right direction with whatever questions I had or assisted me in obtaining the Hengstler...Thank you FISD. I obtained this from a very good friend. He had an extra. We managed to screen match his so I thought what the hell I'll see if I can find this one. I started identifying characteristics...one being the ejection port on mine is darker than most and is loaded up with black. The other is a the larger dowel that the center barrel dowel is mounted to is a little longer than most so it sits very far forward and obstructing the aft set of holes inside which prevents putting t track in the last set of holes. I found a screen grab on blu ray and lightened it up and I found what is below. I love it regardless I had the best time getting her back to her old self. Updated: Found it in another scene. You can also just barely see the dowel in the circle vent too. This is what prevents putting the T track in last set of vent holes.
  3. Thanks for the input fellas. I'm throwing paint today.
  4. Got a Hengstler in..the box seems to made of pvc or something similar...what kind of paint do you put on this so it won't scratch off. Lee
  5. No but I haven't had anything I couldn't tackle...so far.
  6. Here's how she looked when completed. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. I built a Falcon from scratch I worked with my friends who build the prototype for MR....endless model kits to buy. I eventually sold it before completing it and it's now in a private collection..somewhere....you can see my TK suit I used to have in background...whew now I fit in here. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  8. I repainted and rebuilt and MR y-wing for a collector...it's still in progress in this photo. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  9. Hit me up..I've been turning down work for almost 4 years...out of retirement. This photo was test of sanity. It was a handful. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  10. Thank you sir. Much appreciated. I'll get some more in tonight.
  11. I would love to help you out..also thank you for the compliment.
  12. A personal build project. I created a few casting from the Fett helmet casting I have. I worked with a friend to get the ears loaded into CAD...He worked really hard on these...they were the first castings off a real set of ears created. They've since been recast etc. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  13. MR Fett helmet prototype...one ear missing. I found doing replicas prototypes it's a fine line between true weathering and smooth lines. You have to maintain a balance of clean and dirty or they can't interpret it at factory. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. Great post here. I love finding stuff. I'm looking over these parts and I have forwarded over photos to some of my prop maker buddies a few well versed in electronics. I used to work on fire control radar F4 C/D in the Air Force before becoming a Loadmaster. The only thing I see in those parts that point to vintage radar is the the vacuum tube receptacles. Most of the radar stuff I worked on was vacuum tube technology and as far as a fighter aircraft these do not look familiar as a radar item from my point of reference. These seem to be from late 50's early 60's tech. I also notice the flush mount screw holes in the above photo which may indicate a panel was placed behind where screws go. Not sure how that helps but it's interesting and another clue. The F4 was flown and used by the UK in droves...there was one panel that was replaced in the WSO's seat in the back and it was replaced in the mid 70's with IC chip boards...IIRC it was involved with tracking and locking targets...possibly just a trail to follow they ditched these to the junkyard around 75ish...who knows ya know nothing ventured nothing gained. Note: military stuff is SN# out the yang and I only saw one indication of a part number in one photo.
  15. Hey thanks for the positive. Yes I'm getting back into private commissions and build work. I retired from it about 3 years ago but with some career changes I've got the time to offer my services. If you have something you need done please contact me. Sorry I've had a handful of family this week kids are out of school and we've been hanging out til the wee hours having fun. I'll post some photos up tonight I promise! By the way this is an awesome forum...very impressed with everyone and the professional honest demeanor..you take it seriously with a dose of real life added in. Cheers!
  16. Does it only give you so much disk space or do I need to host my photos? it's down to 7.52K...just want to be sure I'm doing this right.
  17. Roger that let me dig the folders and see what I can shoot you folks.
  18. Master Replicas prototype x-wing...I built two. They said they could not replicate the work so they went with another artist.
  19. Hey folks, Some of you may have seen some of these photos elsewhere if so I apologize. I promised I would post some photos of work I did with Sideshow, Master Replicas and others. I'll keep popping in photos as I find them. Lee I was sent this as a comp for the sideshow 1/4 scale Fett I built most of this suit (under suit, painted helmet and most of the armor) funny thing is....it fit Jeremy Bulloch to a 't'...he's wearing it in the photo. This was taken for WGN when Boba Fett would pick the world series winner. A good friend of mine who bought and completed suit sent me the photos. I know Fett overload LOL....here are the full size Fett blasters for Master replicas. I painted the first two prototypes. I have a week to complete them. More coming....
