  1. Also thinking about buying SCOOTCH helm or his shadow trooper kit... They look amazing
  2. For the helmet use these... you wont use all of them. http://www.amazon.com/NEW-ORIGINAL-US-ARMY-ISSUE/dp/B004RCLM8Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372866426&sr=8-1&keywords=combat+helmet+pads Wish I could go on the 4th but I work early
  3. Have any of you gotten vader Dave's AB buttons!? Was just wondering how well they look on an RT mod armor before I get them
  4. Sorry for the random comment but whats with all of those popsicle sticks?! hahaha. Other then that man looking good! Using your build and other RT-Mod builds as reference. Looking great! keep it up
  5. Looks great although for one note, As noted above your forearms and biceps seem to far apart. You can connect them and have less of a gap. Plus will help to keep them from moving less. GOOD LUCK! looks great though
  6. Those are Okay but you can find cheaper ones on here. Ladyinwhite sells them sometimes and so does a couple of other people for cheaper. Those look a bit bulky but maybe not. I still recommend you finding someone here.
  7. When I glued my shim I must have not placed the weight evenly because it is a bit slanted and this causes the coverstrip to have a small gap, was just wondering if this was okay or if I should sand it down? For now I am leaving this one a lone for the night. Will work on it during the day. Sanding other side so I can get it ready for a coverstrip. Taped off the sides just incase I happened to sand something I did not want.. Always a precaution First Coverstrip ON! exciting... Now to wait 24hours hahaha. Coverstrip had a smaller gap then the other side, Just decided to put some Painters tape to make it tighter so it could cure properly. Thats it for tonight. More tomorrow afternoon
  8. Yeah I decided to make it with the butt joint because a lot of people told me it would be better on EPiC on Facebook. Love that group, you guys have been great help and especially when I went I your Armor party. Can't wait to finish.
  9. Damn those looks great man! Yeah the forearms at the wrist suck! It feels tight and it scrapes but easy fix like you did there. Thanks everyone for the support. Feels great to hear it from you guys.
  10. I know man, Last few months have been hell for me but I have opened up time to finish it. How far into your build are you tony? Thanks you too man!
  11. It has been long since I received my big brown box from Rob, to be exact since November. Was just to busy with my last semester of school. Here I am now giving it a go! I hope you guys enjoy my build. So far it has been Great and relaxing. Can't wait to finish and get my TK ID number. Well till then... RT-Mod helmet arrived done and it looks Awesome! Armor all laid out. Super overwhelmed at first, Now it take it all one step at a time Finished Thermal Detonator After Leaving my Armor out of the box for awhile I decided to buy me a 50gallon Husky tool box to store my armor. Luckily for me it was only $40 dollars. Saved me $20 Dollars. Great Buy! Okay enough of all my Random stuff Just excited about the build and thought id add some stuff. I first started with my Forearms but then decided mid way that I should work from top to bottom so I am working on my biceps right now. Currently Being glued. Sucky part is I need to wait 24hours each time I let them glue. I Know RT-Mod is built for Overlap method But I choose to butt joint it so I can add cover strips Looks more authentic and personally way Better! saves me the hassle if I would decide to do cover strip later on. Trimmed my biceps each 8mm on each side so it would fit the 15mm cover strip, what i am doing here is sanding the ender joint so that E6000 easily adhere to both parts great. Got my inner shim, Earth Magnets, and my E6000 Ready for my first gluing! Finally took my first step in gluing one side of my biceps. Wanted to test out first if I had applied enough glue and if I was going to glue it correctly before doing both sides. 1 step at a time After 24hour cure, I took off the earth magnets and clamps and for goodness sake It glued great! although I probably put a bit too much glue. You can't tell in the photo but theres excess glue coming from the seams luckily E6000 can come off just by rubbing it with your fingers and a little sanding works great too! . Now before I add the coverstrip I wanted to to glue the other side of my bicep. Added the shim to make my butt joint stronger to both sides. Inner shim Thank you all for the help through this past year and viewing other peoples builds, it has helped me really start my build off. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! More to come I will be part of the 501st!
  12. Gratz TONY! was wondering whats that just about your ammo boxes? I did not receive that with my kit.
  13. I am currently working on RT-Mod's Armor as well and I was wondering how your finished return edge on your forearms looks mind showing me the wrist's part? Thanks Swmand4
  14. Man that is great! That means more armor making... Hopefully those molds will last you much longer time then the ones you previously had. Does that mean the cost will slightly go up? Or will it still be the same Rob?
  15. wow these are terrible!!!! lol...
  16. Thanks guys. Yea thats what I happened to do as well. Maybe going to put some extra memory foam I got in the front or something. Thanks again
  17. I have brand new TK boots, I have only put them on once and that was to see if they fit. Sadly to say, they fit a bit too big. Was looking if anyone has some size 11's that fit them too small or want to make a swap. Thank you in advance guys.
  18. Great work man. I am currently working on my Biceps for the RT-Mod. I did what you said about the cover strip, in which I cut enough for it to be flush to the cover strips Rob supplied me with. So i believe biceps are 15mm Looks Great. As well Tony said he added a cover strip inside. I did that as well. Makes it feel more sturdy
  19. Can you show a pic of inside your forearm? I want to see inner shim
  20. Dude nice! I wish I got the wireless set up. Definitely tell me how that goes
  21. Dude was a pleasure meeting you at Ingrid's house on Saturday. I can't wait to receive those bicep clips you made. Your set up inside your HUSKY bin was astonishing! lol. Congrats on being accepted.
  22. Cool thanks man! Will definitely pick some up tomorrow
  23. Was wondering what grade of sandpaper is best used go sand down rough edges on the armor? Like the biceps, shins, forearms, thighs, and chest? Thanks in advance
