You have to bend and glue the hell out of it!!!!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.
Damn i love this App!!!!
Exactly right, I think I used like 1/4 of a tube of E6000 in that d@mn thing.
-
The AP sniper plate is a wonky thing. You will need to secure the sides for sure. I aligned the sides and just dealt with the front being a bit wonky.
Shoot me a reminder pm and I will post photos of mine and how it sits when I get to my computer.
-
I used for sale sign material and e6000 and then black Gafe tape. White ducts would work as well this gives it flexibility.

let's discuss the details on the 29th. we gotta lock this in and take the boarding party on the road!
-
Come on Andrea, we need to fullfill that goal of 300 EiB before years end, I have mic tips por vous, not too much more you need to do beyond the minor repairs. We'll get you all set on the 29th!
-
folks up here are a hoot. Come on up Jenny!!
-
We may have to bring the TIV fireteam with us next year!
-
Also, I've been looking at a lot of belts and some of the drop boxes dangle down and some are flush with the belt. Is this a preference thing? - The visible portion strap is very short, about 1/4" to 1/2" in length.
Drop boxes should be pretty darn close to belt. I used white elastic and made it as flush as I could without stretching it.

Full resin is a FUN build. Lots of extras you can add. Good luck!

What the heck. The weather was good so I painted the hengstler covers, scope, rail, cocking handle, end cap and power cylinders. All flat black.

I STILL need to make my hengstler bracket mount. I cannot find the l shaped aluminum in the right size nor the piece of sheer metal of sufficient gauge. Gonna have to go find a Lowes as home depot is sucking' it.
-
Time to re-engage this build now that I am approved and EiB. Time to get working on centurion.
Tonight sanding main body and then layering the flat black.
Nothing special to see. It's just watching paint dry.

But don't you miss the PEW PEW?
I'll only miss it on formal events and photo sessions. Normal trooping will likely be the Hasbro (lighter and less worry about dropping).
-
Thanks guys an honour to join your ranks! next stop, Centurion!! Should be early October at the latest.
I am considering an ESB EiB application to come this fall too. I need to study up and be sure I can do the required elements without any major mods to the main kit. Holster, blaster, hand guards and bucket will be a non issue, as I have all of those ready to be built)
-
Thanks Phillip, keep at it, nothing here in my build is original, just keep reading and trying to apply ideas to the kit. its hard at first, just like building the armour, but once you get some momentum and familiarity with the tools, it gets easier. That being said, mistakes will be and WERE made throughout the build. Some of which are easy to fix, some not so much, but hopefully no-one really notices (my hasbro mod was a comedy of errors, but turned out ok in the end to get me to EIB). This blaster will be the one to get me into that next level.
I really wanted to get a Hyperfirm, oh lord that would be sweet, but getting one across the border here is beyond difficult, damn near impossible to legitimately do. So my next pet project will be either a SE-R14 or DLT-19 kit.
Blasters are fun distractions from the countless tweaks my armour needed or still needs.
-
Good luck with your kit Travis. I just got my AP kit approved this week. Built to with Centurion in mind right from the get go. I wish I had gone straight for the resin blaster FIRST.
Looking forward to seeing your progress!
-
On hey. You're approved. Congrats. That was easy!
The things you miss when you are away for a day.
Any significance to you TK ID?
Aloha,
-Eric
actually yes, it spells "Clamp" the nickname provided by the Tantive IV Boarding Party. PROPS to you for allowing me to re-purpose the logo design!!!
-
LOL you mean Canada Eric?
Well T4BP's original goal was to get its five founding members all approved and all to EiB. That was the purpose of forming the group. With even more new recruits in place, the "standard" is now EiB, I think it's somewhat an expectation that someday all of T4BP will be Centurions. I think a lot of it is the comraderie of the group, and working together while we build armour and learn together. Spreading the word and showing new recruits how to get there. We also have a lot to live up to within the Canadian Garrison. The expectation was set there as well from the begining that we'll all represent the best TK's possible for the CG.
Amen to what Keith said.

Your pictures are a little washed out because of the sunlight so it's hard to spot the more discrete details, but for centurion I'd suggest moving the detonator clips even further towards the end caps.
But you're not far from centurion at all!
I'll submit better photos for centurion. These were my application photos and I took a chance that they were sufficient for EiB.
I'll have a look at the TD clips.
Eric. The water in Indiana has moved up to Toronto. We have a bunch of new folks in the pipeline coming up!'
-
PS I'm wanting to take the Centurion step as soon as my resin blaster is complete and I get the bucket updated to the hand painted look. Anything I can improve upon for that, please don't hesitate to share.
-
Wow I am honored to be part the EI team. I'll represent to the best of my ability. Thanks to everyone for your support and feedback!!
