So the fix is that you have to cut into the chest to remove old detail and replace with this new formed (resin?) insert?
edit: PS, for clarity, that is a piece that came in the box with your (Beta) kit?

Until there is enough reference on the Tactical Vest and side arm, we should table that addition/discussion. I am sure there will be plenty of changes after subsequent trailers and the movie release to add this in if desired.

FYI for the record. He has been in touch with the Canadian Garrison. He was added, by me, to our potential recruit private FB page back in October.
Editing this post as I found a more up to date ask which did not get a proper reply. We'll reach out locally.

Long weekend in Niagara Greg. There has been talk of me taking my pics today/night. I guess I better get on it . . . . thought I might rest on these here laurels for a while, but I'm just being lazy.
TO EIB AND BEYOND!!
I didn't really give him a choice. HE was pretty much told to get his butt out to NFCC to help out! Soooo it's on me that he has not already gotten the EIB off the ground until today.

Having seen his AP in person I'm pretty sure it's an easy pass.
However... he doesn't seem to quite hit the height requirement.

Be sure to check in with your Garrison Command to see what their thoughts are on supplemental markings at troops of all kinds.

I'm almost positive they're the new Disney E-11 blasters with the stun setting, painted white. They were used at Celebration I think, just for fun.
This is correct, they are both the Disney blasters (with stun setting option) custom painted as a stand by until proper TFA E-11s are produced.

The ribbed backing tab to hold the two ends in place is a great idea and also keeps the ridges aligned while glue sets. Keep up the sharing, all these great ideas are very helpful for those of us in the Bravo group.
-
Paul, Can you share photos of the specific defects so that soon to be owners know what to look out for upon receipt?
-
was told by my XO that lining up the ridges is far more important than the angle of the front.
Hahaha. Your XO. He's a chump!

I think a point that everyone may not be seeing here is that we have been provided unprecedented access to screen used and derived kit before the long before the movie comes out. There is more we can learn from more visuals and access for sure, but there is enough reference to build the CRL now. Far more than we have on most costumes that have been in the legion for years.
The CRL should be built now for the benefit of all those to come in wave 2,3 and beyond.
Will it evolve? Likely yes, as does every CRL. Will there be finds that make current TFA alpha/beta/omega moo "inferior"? Not likely. They are pretty darn close overall. Average Joe/Jane won't spot the differences. I don't remember any non 501st person at Celebration complaining that TFA troopers' boots or blasters were wrong.
Current TK kits are not perfect. Do some look better than others sure. All those RS Prop kits are way more accurate than my AP but mine still looks good and acceptable. 99.99% of the world wouldn't know the difference. They see Stormtrooper.
And on the topic of CRL evolution...once granted approval on a kit you're in unless it's in such a state of disrepair that it has to be fixed. You can not "force" people to upgrade parts found to be not as accurate after the fact. Encourager them to change, sure, but not force them. Grandfathering happens and will always happen until we completely change the way our club is run. And If it ever becomes a club where absolute accuracy is the focus and the target minimum, I'm out.
Anywho, my two pennies. What was my point? -> CRLs sooner than later.
